That's the only thing they got right. Everything else was a by-the-numbers kind of deal.

i think you're in the minority with that opinion.
Not according to IMDB and the box office.

You don't think it did well at the box office?

That's almost $100millWW bigger than Man of Steel which was considered a good box office success.

As i said before "Clearly you've never picked up a Spider-Man book" because if you have, Then you would know he has the wise cracking attitude even when Ben Parker has died.
Kaz, I have read Spidey comics & yes, he is wise-cracking in them.
But in a movie that's only 2 hours long, the average audience will sense that there's not a long enough gap after Ben's death to have Peter making too much wise cracks.
There's a difference between coming across as a wise-ass in the comics to coming across as an uncaring a-hole in a film.

In that case he should'eve started doing the wise cracks with Spider-Man 2
there's no need to for it to go for 3 movies still haven't gotten over his uncles death.

Just because the film was 2 hours, doesn't mean it was 2 hours between Uncle Ben dying and Parker wisecracking.
Besides he began the wisecracking after Uncle Ben died in a bullying fashion. So you can tell he was definitely effected and disturbed by what had happened. So your point has clearly been noticed and addressed by the film creators.
And to top it all off your dear Macguire Spider-Man did "attempt" to wisecrack in Ramai's Spider-Man 1. It was just a very poor attempt.
Overall TASM >>> Ramai's Spiderman 1 IMO, simply because they got the character of Spider-man spot on, they've made some common ground and cohesivness between Spider-Man's Origin and the Villain's Origin (which is something which will contiune in the sequels so we won't get the horrible mess of SM3 again). Plus the romance and plot was all just much better Imho.

Point is, Uncle Ben DIDN'T die at the beginning of the film...maybe 40 mins into it...so that's even less time for Peter to go from grieving to wise-cracking.
Funny thing, reviews of ASM2 states that, "Peter is still haunted by the death of Gwen's father...".
Sony clearly wants to play down May & Ben's role in Peter's upbringing.
Blaming us fans for the way the Rhino looks

does mean it needs to looke like a heap of scrap metal, Besides if they thought the original design looked stupid then use the Ultimate Rhino.
