Lol at the blatant potter hatred. Snipers aint doing shit against a giant fire monster launched at them by a teleporting wizard. Just one fiendfyre could probably solo an entire platoon, and we have not just Vold here, but Dumbledore as well, along with Moody and many others. Vold has onscreen feats of teleporting mid-battle, and casting fiendfyre with a gesture (no wand or spell).
There is a shitload of magic to utilize here. Your guys are acting like wizards are going to just stand there and try to quickdraw the military with nothing but Avada Kevara, despite the fact that they have a far more vast arsenal to choose from. Teleportation, transmutation, telekinesis, and even massive energy blasts, amongst various other widespread areal attacks that would crush the military, are all within the wizard's options here. Also, they have their broomsticks, and can fly as well. Also, you guys seem to be forgetting how a group of Death Eaters utterly FUBARed that bridge, and could probably easily do so to a lesser target.

RJ had the exact same effect with every character he overhyped ( HP, Hit Girl), in which he made otherwise cool characters unpopular because he was so biased towards them. If only the Wizards actually fought like you want them to, but they don't...in fact when they laid siege to Hogwarts only a small fraction of them used 'teleportation".
In fact a good number of fights through out the series had them standing there trading spells with each other.

So you are going to try the gimp the wizards with PIS/CIS? 😆 Yeah, not happenin'. The wizards aren't going to just stand there, they are going to take the most efficient course of action they can with their powerset, as does any character in these versus threads.
Voldemort has onscreen feats of teleporting mid-battle, and summoning Fiendfyre with a gesture. The only thing preventing him from doing both in conjunction all the time is PIS, which is not in play here.

You think the wizards won't be able to detect the snipers, but the snipers are going to tag the teleporters who fly ultra-fast on their broomsticks (hell, their recreation involves catching impossibly fast golden snitches) who can basically summon sentient fiery areal denial weapons with a gesture. Please realize how ridiculous that sounds.
Wizards teleport in, Feindfyre everyone, and teleport out. It's a simple strategy, and one that will undoubtedly work.

I don't.......because it obviously doesn't apply here. This is a versus match. These characters are bloodlusted and will perform the most efficient course of action to achieve their goals. The same is expected of any character in these versus forums. Of course they aren't in character: being "in character" obviously limits combatants by PIS/CIS, which is why it's rarely ever used.
Like a sniper round on average goes somewhere between 2500 and 3500 feet per second. Which means by the time Voldemort starts to make his gesture. A bullet is through his pasty skull. Let's not forget choppers and jets with vulcan cannons and missiles.
And unless otherwise stated, they are all in character.
