KMC Writer's Tournament

A writer's tournament where participants are asked to complete a comic book story arc. Basically six issues of 8-15 pages (one issue a month). Considering how many guys here have been wanting to tell a comic story of some sort or another, JaketheBank and I figured we'd give them that opportunity.

Yes - Raz hasn't come back since the last time which was just before you disappeared and left us all out to rot. Pulled a Tron you did.

Try me twinkle toes.

Nice. I'd offer to judge, but I honestly don't know what my KMC usage will be like. I haven't exactly been a paragon of reliability. I know these things drag on though, so I'll try to stay abreast of it.

I'm also sure I could get away with like day-long spite-bans and no one would give a sh*t. It's more tempting than it's ever been. You're not on my list though, so you're good.

Digi! You still owe me money, remember?

The agreement was you'd wear the dress. I don't care how skilled you are with your tongue.

In like '08. The time off has obviously made you forget that I stopped giving a **** a WHILE ago. Made KMC more fun, at least.

Did that dog belong to a poster, or is it just a random stock photo?

if that's the case, then I think you should be demodded

people who don't give a shit should not be mods

modship should be transferred to people who do give a shit, like me. 😐

He'll transfer the backside of his hand to your face.

And those who can detect sarcasm. Sorry, better luck next time.

Besides, I got demoted. I barely have anything to do even if I WAS around. The asshats upstanding mods running the place now have things well in hand.

No clue. I jut discovered it among the smilies one day, and it became my go-to emoticon. Like 313 but less overdone.

dgrin

if only that were true.

On topic, I'm putting the finishing touches to my story, so should be up sometime tomorrow.

A brief synopsis for anyone that might be interested:

The League are visited by one of their member's old friends. He brings them bad tidings, telling them that an enemy more powerful than anything they've ever faced is gunning for Earth, and that if they fail, the entire multiverse will be at risk.

Yes, I know it's an old concept, done a million times. I'm hoping the strength of my dialogue and characterisation will help keep things interesting, and the fact that I'll be referencing a lot of pre-reboot stuff.

Also, if Starscream ever gets modded, I'm out.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Or something.

More like coward. Should the End of Days come you would go run and hide for a few extra breaths. I would face the threat with vigor and strength until my dying gasp.

uhuh

Or I would probably stop logging in 😛

That's too big a job even for Superman, I'm afraid.

YouTube video

If Pr and Oliver North can get their scripts in by end of day today, no harm no foul. Gecko, Curryman, and Lek have not responded to any kind of PM or in the thread so I assume they are no longer participating.

Pr/North both have told me they are working on their scripts. If they are not in by midnight eastern time, I'll be deducting 10 points to a new judging criteria called "On-Time" which is really self explanatory. That bumps total points to 90 per issue (540) total.

I'd really like you two to be a part of the tournament so we have a small group of four to continue the tournament. Good luck!

Either way, given Bardock was the only person to follow guidelines thus far, I wouldn't be against him getting some extra points.

actually I followed the rules too 🙄

oh, my bad, I'd say the same thing for you then too

/shrug

I legit thought Bardock was the only person that met the initial deadline, my bad

You're right. Starscream met my extension deadline.
