24 was neither cool or exiting enough to be made a movie.
Jack was too reliant on CTU.
This Eli at least got one more more than Jack.
But McClane rips through both of them (Jack in the pre credits or opening credits sequence with an old lady's tazer) then rips Eli to pieces around the middle.
Too bad you got it the wrong way, bud. It's the fact that Mcclane's too much of a bytch to have a real-time 24 hour show based around him.
McClane couldn't handle the pressure like Jack can.
Also Jack has 192 hours worth of feats and 268 kills, and McClane has 8 hours and 58 kills? LOL
Jack goes on for 194 hours for 9 years straight, while McClane only gets 2 hours and then has to take a 5-10 year time to refresh for the next one.
The real kicker is as I've pointed out before, McClane's villains are inferior to Bauer. The worst McClane ever stopped was a financial meltdown. Bauer virtually single-handedly saved millions of lives from a nuclear bomb and then the geo-political stability of the world(which far outweighs any financial crisis) in a single day. Then he saved millions again from a potentially international pandemic, a nuclear holocaust, nerve gas and submarine missile attacks, suitcase nukes, pesticide bombings, and HAS EVEN OUTDONE MCCLANE'S DIE HARD SCENARIO BY SAVING THE PRESIDENT IN THE WHITE HOUSE, and then, to show how dangerous Bauer is, became the single deadliest threat to mankind ever by threatening to be the catalyst for a surefire nuclear armageddon, only stopped by his own mercy.
And like I said, what has McClane stopped? A robbery? Airplane collisions (Bauer took on those)? Another thief? Financial meltdown? That isn't shit compared to the threats in 24. So like you said, it's a good thing McClane isn't in the TV medium. No way in hell could he handle a show like 24. He wouldn't even survive the first episode of season 2 because there's no way Eddie would have given him info and they probably would have killed him on sight, since they aren't dumbass Die Hard villains like Simon who leave people alive for no reason.
24 is superior to Die Hard, Bauer is superior to McClane, and TV is superior to films in terms of feats because TV=more feats.

James Bond has had far closer life-or-death situations, and so had Indiana Jones, and all other adventure heroes before him. Luck isn't a "power" of McClane's, just like it's not a power of Bond or Indy. It's just the plot of the film. You can't go around like a dumbass and claim that he can wield it like Sauron with the One Ring, because it's not a power or skill that can be utilized.
McClane Factor doesn't exist, as proven. McClane only has his CQB feats to rely on, and he's never wielded any weapon with the proficiency that Eli does. Eli carves him like a turkey /thread and /your trolling
