Thank the movie gods for that.
Poor DC fans.

It will cross the Billion mark for sure. I mean it only needs to gross like an additional $200million to Wonder Woman's gross to achieve that feat.

The really impressive feat would be if it come close to Avengers number. But not even Zack thinks that will happen.

But WB should be happier with a good well received movie more than box office $$$$ As I keep saying a good/great movie will give them more $$$ in the future, and 2 back to back well received movies would do wonders for their future goodwill.

But WB seem to be too impatient to play the long game.

Domestically it could if the reviews are good. World wide, it wont. And we both know why, unless you keep on ignoring it.

Either way, the first phase is financial juggernaut.

Whatever. Go domestic then. It's not matching Avengers is any way shape or form.

facepalm

Listen to Cavill:

Even if Marvel didn’t exist, we’d struggle. There was a style they [DC] were going for, an attempt to be different and look at things from a slightly different perspective, which hasn’t necessarily worked. Yes, it has made money but it has not been a critical success; it hasn’t given everyone that sensation which superheroes should give the viewer.

Dude, even Superman himself agreed it has all kinds of issues even without the success of marvel. You poor deluded thing you. Reality is laughing at you and it's been well below expectations.

I wasn't talking about being a critical success. I was talking about BO and profit. Obviously there is still interest in the DCEU or WW wouldn't have made the money it did. With your logic, WW would have made a LOT less. I remember you saying that since it only made 100 M OW, the good will has faded. 😂 Boy you were wrong.

They would have made much more money if the films were actually good.

WW is proof of that.

Exactly. This is what Zack just keeps ignoring.

JL built on A-listers won’t match Avengers which built on B-listers.

I just saw the newest trailer that came out a while ago. I'm hoping this movie is received well.

I said that a while ago though. I repeatedly said BVS should have done a billion, you just don't want to listen.

Despite BAD reviews, DCEU still made a ton of money. That's all I'm saying. And movies like Wondy Woman and Suicide Squad didn't even open in EVERY territory. That is impressive.

Danny Elfman is putting his old Batman theme into this film. Hell yeah! So at least this film will likely have a good score.

What about Superman's? Are they using Zimmer's? I love his theme. I agree, Danny's is the best.

It’s impressive that they make money when people don’t like the movies?

Okayyy.

I’m personally more impressed with Marvel who make money because the kept making great movies.

If they didn't like the movies, people wouldn't be buying them on home video. MOS is like ranked #4 or #5 in the top 10 super hero films of all time. BVS sold just as many if not more than Civil War. And SS did pretty well, too.

Not to mention WW.

Not sure. I expect it will be in there though. However, he has said William’s Superman theme will be in the film, albeit twisted. I’m also hoping we get at least one riff of WW’s theme as well.

You just said BvS had a terrible multiplier and should have made a billion. Now you’re praising it’s Home video sales. Then you complain when I’m confused as to your thought on BvS’s reception. Make up your mind will ya.

DC made WB around 4.5 billion last year. Could have been even more with better films.

Anyway lets get back to the film itself. Only two weeks away.

I didn't say anything about multiplier. I said it wasn't received well. You can't just look at multiplier, because Civil War had a low multiplier, but was received well.

There is still a ton of fans of BVS, so don't get that confused. There should have been a lot more, is all I'm saying. But you said people didn't like these movies, and that is far from the truth. Choose your words a little better.

This is a good read.

How DC Universe Movies Are More Successful Than You Think

From that linke:

So, what is the story for home entertainment? The top 10 domestic Blu-ray sellers are almost event split between Marvel characters and DC characters, with DC titles selling four of the top ten, Marvel Studios selling five of the top ten, and Fox's X-Men universe of Marvel titles logging one entry in the top ten. Looking at just Marvel Studios and Warner's DC properties, they basically alternate every other spot on the list, so no one company tends to dominate the top of the chart. Take a look at the titles and their sales to date..

The Avengers -- 5.2 million Blu-rays sold
The Dark Knight Rises -- 3.9 million Blu-rays sold
Guardians of the Galaxy -- 3.7 million Blu-rays sold
Deadpool -- 3.2 million Blu-rays sold
Man of Steel -- 3.2 million Blu-rays sold
Captain America: Civil War -- 2.7 million Blu-rays sold
The Dark Knight -- 2.6 million Blu-rays sold
Iron Man 2 -- 2.4 million Blu-rays sold
The Avengers: Age of Ultron -- 2.3 million Blu-rays sold
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice -- 2.3 million Blu-rays sold

Warner can take comfort from the fact Man of Steel sits in the top-5, in a field of heavy-hitters. Notice, too, that there's only a very small distance between Batman v Superman and Age of Ultron, a distance likely to vanish after Wonder Woman and Justice League help spur a spike in Batman v Superman's sales numbers. That's relevant, since a jump to the #9 spot means Batman v Superman will remain in the top 10 even if Suicide Squad joins the list and bumps off whatever title is in the #10 position. Suicide Squad has racked up at least 1.7+ million domestic Blu-ray sales so far, so while it's not certain it'll jump onto the top 10 list, it definitely has a shot if its numbers continue to rise and it gets a decent boost from Wonder Woman and Justice League.
