here in Washington state my brother runs three theaters. At the moment Thor is taking in more people then JL, not sure what that means. The late showings last night the seats were not even 1/3 full for JL. Just got back from it this morning and there were 2 people in the auditorium.

Honestly not sure how well its going to do.

I already said I saw both Thor and JL Thursday and Thor definitely had more people in it. I think the damage might be worse than I thought. To think it's even possible JL could, lose out to Thor 3 shows the damage might be severe.

I'm hearing that Thor 3 is going to have a massive drop this weekend from last weekend.

See, I'm just not getting this. I know people are excited for Shazam, but its just going to be another Superman movie except the hero has a red and yellow costume instead of a red and blue one. Been there and done that already.

I agree with you on taking risks, but I'm not certain Shazam is really a risk. I remember being really excited for Suicide Squad because I felt that they finally moved on from Batman and Superman movies, but we all know how that ended. A well done Teen Titans movie, or maybe something with the New Gods to promote Darkseid. I don't. Just something completely different would be nice (and well done).

I agree they should do the new gods and do them correctly. Marvel went out on a limb with GOTG and turned them into rock stars. Marvel is the first compmay to show the world cinematic universes were even a thing and they are still setting the trends. With all the properties DC and money Warner Bros. has its still perplexing they have ****ed up as badly as they have.

I'd lie if I said I don't enjoy DC fans pain but I still don't want them to fold up their tents and go home.

Oh definitely but we always knew that was the case. Especially in its third week and when another big movie hits. Thor 3 is a win for the studio. It's also far superior to Justice League across the board.

The damage is more than severe, we are seeing the possible destruction of the DCEU.

Still Aquaman and WW 2. I've heard people speculate if this thing does go belly up Matt Reeves might just do a stand alone batman trilogy. That'd be terrible tbh they have already done that before.

Batman is one of my fave characters but I'm beyond tired of him getting milked at this point.

That's fine with me. The TV shows are good at least.

**** Aquaman

Actually, though I'm more a Namor fan, one of the things I'm looking forward to seeing in JL (aside from Wonder Woman) is to see Atlantis depicted in a 'realistic' setting. We see at both companies the people talking to each other underwater, which is really silly.

I read somewhere Snyder has yet to see the film and Whedon's reshoots were much more than 20% so I'm sure this even rubbed him the wrong way.

I just found this. Speculated and I'm sure the outcome of justice league will determine their choice but if it progresses continuity that's the best option.

Ps. I do agree they need to go out on a limb with newer and lesser known characters and quit trying to shove Batman down our throats.

somebody please get in contact with Zack.. Check all rocks... see if he is doing okay

Variety reports $95 million opening domestic.. also say what i said previously about the budget..

Highly doubtful. The DCEU is still WB's #1 franchise. After it is all said and done, DCEU will enter the 4 billion range after its first 5 films.

They are going to get their shit together.

JL is possibly the biggest bomb in years.

Dude, it's about the profit made not the overall box office haul. If I make 10,000 a month and my mortgage is 20,000 am I raking in the money ? No, read the reviews, looks at the budgets, the sky might fall on the dceu. They have one film coming out next year marvel has three and even fox has more than one.

Try and follow along if you can, fanboy.

It won't be a bomb if it makes profit. That's not the text-book definition of a bomb.

A post ago you say it might be ending then you say they will get their shit together. Make up your mind.

They need*

Because I'm tired of hearing the damn excuses.

Well I don't want them to stop making films. I do hope they get their shit together because it'll be more enjoyable to argue against prideful dceu fans who believe they win. As long as I draw breath I'll oppose DC fans.

Just saw it. I thought it was fun and enjoyable. Plot was generic and the villain sucked ass but the heroes were all pretty great.

It's way better than BvS and SS.

Don't get your hopes up.

can you give us all some of the high end crack you are smoking.. this film is an mitigated disaster... it has to make $1 billion dollars and given it is only making $95 million domestic this weekend, the chance of this paying for itself is very slim...

no one will care for shazam and aquaman lol
