Should also be noted that Freddy most certainly didn't win, because he clearly didn't kill Jason in the dream world after the end, as Jason was alive for Jason X, which takes place after FvsJ. Canon.

In some NOES documentary on Netflix, Yu said that in his subjective opinion Freddy won, but made it clear that was not an objective fact. Quan was taking his quote out of context as usual.

When Freddy and Jason were fighting Freddy was getting beaten and when Jason was about to land the final blow there was water falling in front of him when that happened Freddy said these exact words "so you do have a fear" then Jason became the scared child he was when he died so if you think about it Freddy wasn't smart enough to know about Jasons fear of water it happend coincidently so if you think that Freddy could win in a fair fight with Jason you are severly mistaken

Well, he kicked jasons ass through the most of the movie and Freddy winking implied that they were in the dream realm.

that was when Freddy couldn't manipulate anything but his bone structure and he was serverly wakened. it was more of a last attempt
