FvJ feats shouldn't even be considered. Both characters were neutralized - freddy being beefed up in real world so he could last 2 min against jason.
Freddy would have got his ass handed to him if it was just signature weapons or H2H. He just happened to use the environment to cause significant damage.
Also Jason was never afraid of water in his original movies.

Freddy went toe to toe with him. Freddy came right at him and was doing fine. He later used the environment and got the better of Jason in the real world prior to Lori distracting Freddy before the explosion.
Jason died by water and it was used as a weakness. It is canon so quit ignoring all you don't like. It is all evidence, sport.

No, it was just using intelligent tactics against Jason. Why take a much bigger, dumber foe on toe to toe when there were other options available.
