I honestly read almost no pre crisis Superman stuff, so I wouldn't be the person to ask. If you try the Superman respect thread, someone there might be able to help you.

Ultraman in Kandor actually refers to the Crisis, though. Unless he was referring to Infinite Crisis, but I honestly got the impression he was talking about COIE.I honestly got the impression that the Kandor one was separate from the IC one.

yes, but certain characters were carried over post crisis. For example, I'm now thinking that we saw two versions of the PC Ultraman, updated for the modern era.

I genuinely got the impression they were talking about COIE. I'll give it another read.Either way, we both agree that they aren't the same one Superman fought, right?

the Ultraman in Trinity isn't the same one that fought Supergirl in Kandor. They're both different versions of the same character.Like how there's more than one Zod.

That one is the Anti-Matter one, which was introduced by Grant Morrison in 1999. I don't think Supergirl ever fought him.Except that they've proven that they can compete with him through their own impressive strength feats. Supergirl hasn't.
Besides, proving that they can match him, when Superman has decidedly dynamic strength, isn't easy. Being strong enough to hurt him, is different.

why do you pick low feats instead of being fair to the characters?we actually have rules against lowballing. You need to stop it.

from when they fought one another. They're somewhere in the ballpark because we saw them hurt one another, and we know that they're both strong enough to beat each other.
That doesn't make, say, Adam, as strong as Superman. It just makes him strong enough.
It's not my responsibility to educate you. I'm not digging through respect threads because you can't be bothered.

Then read again, please. On this forum, fights count towards feats of strength.
if she's not as powerful as him, then she's not on his level.
especially when there are several people between them.

Originally posted by -Pr-I didn't say you said that.
mon-el being superman level is debatable at best. so is supergirl being superman level.
saying that supergirl is his level because she's as strong as power girl, who had a one time statement, isn't proof, and isn't enough in a debate.
no, it really isn't.

Plenty of people have hurt Superman without being as powerful as he was. Why? Simple: They're strong enough, or powerful enough, to affect Superman's durability.Wonder Woman isn't on Superman's strength level, but she hurt him.
Aquaman has done the same.
Martian Manhunter has.
Supergirl has.
Kalibak has.Bill doing it isn't just possible, it's LIKELY.

she's not. she's strong enough to hurt him, but she's not on his level when it comes to actual brute strength.Proving she was his level would be difficult too.

I don't agree. guys like Superman, DD, Adam and the like, are a notch above Diana. She compensates by being strong enough to hurt them, being more skilled, and being either as fast or faster.

Sure they can. Like the time he pulled most of the weight in towing the Earth with Hal Jordan. Or how he's consistently been the only person that can hang with Doomsday. Or the Infinite Book. Or Warworld, and tbh, most of Our Worlds at War.Anyone who's actually read Superman's history from 1986 up until the present day is faced with a literal paper mountain of evidence that says that Superman is in a different class to her, strength wise.
You saying these feats don't exist either means you're trolling, or simply ignoring them.

I said nothing about having more feats. I said they were better feats.I just named several arcs you could go and read. If you haven't read Superman, then why are you so adamant that he's on the same level as the others?
Don't accuse me of trolling.

I think I know the comic you're talking about, and yes, while it was stated, it isn't representative of a lot of other comics. If they had even bodies, batman Is going to win more often than not, in general. That page (and a lot of that arc) is a bane to Superman fans, because it was written by a writer that fully admitted to nerfing Superman, and not just that. He wrote him out of character, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the "Usain Bolt Vs Bruce Lee" comparison was his attempt to justify something he said on a message board to his fans.
Truth be told, I believe, and I would write, that Wonder Woman and Superman are as quick as each other reflex wise. His advantage is in size, strength and reach, while hers is in skill, and having a "warrior's mentality" so to speak.
