So, are you saying that the majority of battles Thor has been in, are strictly "physical"?Just against Mangog, Thor used several powers, including a barrage of lightning that was so powerful, it actually melted part of Asgard and set off volcanoes, sinking Mangog beneath the surface of an ocean of lava.
Against Juggernaut, he also used several powers, not the least of which was a vortex that cut Cain off from his power-source.
The VAST majority of Thor battles included the use of his non-physical powers. And, he has shown the ability to certain powers that would easily end a battle against WBH, if those powers were allowed to be used here.
No I didn't say they're strictly physical. I said that he Will go physical at some point during the fight.
Against Mangog a good part of the fight was a physical confrontation. In other words, Mangog was able to land several hits on thor during thr course of the fight. This is key because based on average durability levels, Thor will likely be incapacitated after the first punch WBH lands. If he lands several its going to turn Thor into mush.
The same for Thors fight against juggernaut. There was a healthy physical component of that fight with jugs being able to land some hits. WBH doesn't even need to directly land to hurt Thor. An astronomically weaker Greenscar was able to knock the hell out of a heavily amped Rulk with just a thunderclap. That's without even getting into the fact that the residual shockwave from his collision with a peer miles in the air, disintegrated savage hulks physical peers ( and even a character shown as superior to them in Armcheddon) as well as the entirety of the race of mindless ones portrayed at a level where there combined numbers were too much for even Umar to survive let alone put down. The shockewave from A well placed thunderclap from WBh would do significant enough damage on its own let alone a direct hit.
The issue is that while it may be in character for Thor to use some non physical stuff, he certainly isn't going to keep the fight at range while spamming long range attacks till WBh goes down. He is going to mix it up, and he is going to get tagged just like he has been in almost every fight with every brick he has ever fought, especially hulk. Barring bFr and the Godblast he is not ending this fight immediately (and even with the GB, I have no doubt it could blow a hole clean through WBH ala Zelia of the dark gods, but Hulks Hf at this level would be several several times more powerful also so even if it turned him into a skeleton he would be back to full health in short order). And he won't be starting out using such attacks in character anyways.
Thors history against bricks and hulk specifically confirms that he will get hit likely multiple times by WBh. This virtually guarantees his defeat since on average the fight will be pretty much over after the first one.
