Voldemort vs. Sauron

On the same battlefield where Sauron originally fell he comes forward for his side with the ring and Lord Voldemort comes forward to meet him. Just these two fight as their respected armies watch on.

I don't see Voldemort's spells as being powerful enough to defeat Sauron. There are mages in LoTR and entire armies that would make the death eaters run to their mommies and Sauron single handedly was turning the tide of war.

Hardly. The only armies we see panic are the orcs, humans, and overall in the Lotr characters.

Sauron loses here due to lack of screen feats

Since the ring is basically a mind control device, could Sauron attack Vold with it? I don't think the Imperio will work on Sauron, conversely.

He enslaved the minds of men. He would kill a dozen men with one swing of his weapon. He was the key player that turned the tide of the war against middle earth forces. Dwarves, Elves, Humans. Sauron has more feats listed in the books though. Not to mention even Sarumon, the head of the order of wizards, feared him. Even Gandolf.

Unfortunately the books are not used here. Voldemort can protect his mind and a sword swing will be pretty useless against a guy that can teleport, fly and turn himself into smoke.
