There are very few things you can't make happen with money.

And buying a government intelligence service is not one of them.

Shield is an independent intelligence agency. As you saw in Winter Soldier, the board members were from other countries. Besides, this is fiction. If Thor can shoot lightening out of a hammer, Stark industries can become the new SHIELD.

It's run by a few governments dude. Presumably sanctioned by the UN. There is no way the American Government is going to allow a massive independent intelligence agency armed with nukes operate on American soil.

OK, your right. But Stark could still play a similar role to shield. How would you explain the reason for Maria Hill applying at Stark Industries?

Cos she needs a new job?

She's cast in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So we wll likely see.

Well so far, it looks like Ward's legit.

Spoiler:
A legit traitor, that is.

I like how the show is following directly after major events in the movies. It's cool to see how at least one part of the MCU functions outside of the big screen.

I'm still banking on him being a triple-agent. So deep, only Fury knows the truth.

Tie-ins are nice.

Then Fury should have known about Hydra in TWS. He didn't.

He's killed too many innocents.

And tbh I'd hate that. This twist was really unexpected, and something completely different to what we'd expect in these kind of shows. So I'd hate it if they went back on it and said, "Ah he was good all along really."

I thought he did know, just that he didn't know how high up it went. Wasn't that the whole point of him ending up being the one who hired those pirates in the beginning?

Nah, last episode made it clear Ward was Hydra all along.

I could see the writers redeeming Ward and bringing him back on Coulson's team. Ward apparently has legitimate feelings for skye, so it could happen.

I'll miss Saffron Burrows.

He suspected something yeah. Don't think he knew it was Hydra though.

I'm glad we got to see Coulson's love interest. It'll make going back to the movies more entertaining with the extra backstory.

I'm upset

No he's not. Ward had to pussy out and indirectly tell the truth to trick the lie detector. Besides, we don't know how well Black Widow did. I bet she aced it.

It's a joke, really, I know he can't hold a candle to Natasha.

He didn't just indirectly tell the truth though, either. He was using pain to focus himself. Did you notice how after coming out of the room he
