Intriguing. I'd still put TCW's high marks well ahead of anything Rebels has shown us, but Rebels is much more consistent than the show that brought us such stellar stories as "Evil Plans" and Rotta the Hutt.{This finale, while good, doesn't come close to touching "The Lawless" imo.}
I'd be inclined to agree.

Ahsoka's intro > Vader's.
Nah, not even close, Ahsoka's intro was kinda lame. She just climbs down a ladder. Vader's, on the other hand, was excellent. You have Tarkin say that the Emperor has dispatched an "alternative solution" and then you hear the breathing... I legitimately had chills.

I thought Hera and Kanan had clear sexual/relationship vibes going throughout the season. If they aren't together, they want to be. I think the dear thing may have been a bit of playful flirting or a joke though.And Kanan getting better wasn't weird. The whole time he was worrying about if he was good enough for Ezra and if he could keep him safe. When the Inquisitor "killed" him, like he said he lost the only thing holding him back. All of his fears lied in failing Ezra, disappointing him, etc... He thought he was dead so all he could do was give him justice. And the Force worked through him for that goal.
The first time we saw Hera and Kanan together in the pilot she calls him Luv.
Kanan showed flashes of his potential earlier in the season. For instance, in his first fight with the Inquisitor he forgets himself for a moment and squashes the inquisitor up against the ceiling. When he gets out of his own way and let's the Force flow freely, he's got some skills!
The fight on the Destroyer and the Ahsoka and Vader reveals were all excellent.
I was surprised they killed the Inquisitor, but it made sense and it really enhanced the Vader reveal - "some things are more frightening than death..." Let's hope they can keep the Vader fear factor at that high a level in season 2.
I love Ahsoka (um, maybe not as much as King Joker...) and I'm stoked she is a major rebel leader. Her relationship history with Vader enhances the potential drama for their literal and figurative dueling. I hope Ahsoka kicks ass and takes names - after all, she was trained by the man/machine who is scarier than death. And I hope her initial skirmishes with Vader take place indirectly and slowly build to any eventual showdown. Her TCW season 5 story arc (and the additional 12 episode arc Filoni says he sketched out with George), should also bring a lot to the table. I'm stoked for season 2!
The Kanan/inquisitor duel was very well done. Kanan using Ezra's saber to alternate shooting with saber attacks was cool. But he best be careful against any more skilled opponents - he wouldn't want one of those shots deflected right back at him while his saber is off!
Finally caught up. Excellent final episodes. I think I officially prefer this show to TCW.

👆That scene was handled so damn well. The one thing I wished they had done differently was not spoil the fact that Vader was going to appear in the episode.
Unfortunately because I saw the episodes late, both Vader's and Ashoka's appearance were spoiled for me. My Google stories brought up a picture of the matured Ashoka almost daily, and of course we were already told about Vader.
That being said they were both still really exciting appearances, and I can only imagine the multiple orgasms I would have had if I had Zero spoilers (which I always try so hard for, but the internet makes it so difficult).
Anyway, let's speculate Season 2, Sam Witwer is being brought in, so I'm assuming they're bringing in Maul. Now that Rebels has upped the stakes and they've shown they're not afraid to bring in major characters from TCW to continue their stories Maul is a definite possibility. Witwer makes it almost a guarantee Imho.

And I'm looking forward to seeing possibly an Inquisitor Dhara. That kid's sister that was abducted by the Inquistor.
Yep, and the one thing the last few episodes of Rebels has shown us is they don't forget anything.
