I guess. I've always preferred Vader to be the slow moving juggernaut that he was in the films. You can run, but you can't hide or fight.Anyway, I think we all realized Vader won't look great when he challenges Ahsoka with Filoni at the helm (unless she gets some more hype). Personally it's kinda irrelevant how she is able to challenge him but rather the fact that she can challenge him. And all his insane feats from the comics/LotS will likely make up for that duel (as does that nice little top red lightsaber weilders 😛).
How is he not gonna do well when Filoni himself pointed out how far superior to the GI he is? Because the ones Ahsoka beat aren't far, if at all above the GI. And Filoni seems to hold Vader in high regard, so considering that even Grievous, whom he somewhat lowballed, had impressive feats in TCW, I don't see how Vader wouldn't be impressive. Unless you're referring to some interview I don't know of course.

I expect Filoni will make Ahsoka challenge Vader. That's what I'm saying. ANd unless she gets some great hype, it's not going to look great for Vader.
And how would that downplay Vader, when he is facing a more skilled, powerful and experienced version of Ahsoka? Bearing in mind that by TCW, she held off Grievous and Ventress, both of whom are capable of going toe-to-toe with Obi-Wan on a consistent basis. That didn't downplay them, and given that Vader would still likely win, I don't see how Ahsoka challenging him is supposed to be an unimpressive showing.
Also, didn't you watch the video Joker posted? Because it says that Ahsoka is extremely skilled by this time, and that's clearly great hype, though I realise a sourcebook quote would have bee better.

Considering Vader is currently routing entire armies right now, unless Ahsoka is put well above guys like Fisto and Ventress he's not going to look great.

Kanan was getting his ass kicked. Literally.
Well he was outnumbered. He's no match for 2 Inquisitors, and Zeb/Ezra don't really make much difference.
In his 1 on 1 with 7th Sister though, I thought he was holding his own. He got kicked, and seemed to be on the losing side of the fight but it wasn't a stomp or completely one sided Imo. I'm betting he'll defeat her by the end of the season.
At no point did he face both of them. He was losing one on one. Then he was grabbed and they ran before the Fifth Brother became involved again. Compare that to Ahsoka who came in and took on both, with the Seven Sister doing reasonably well with the Seventh Sister before being TK'd. Kanan isn't comparable at all.
It still seems that 5th outranks 7th as he talks down to her and pointed out she was indeed 7th. But she's just better than him in every way except saber chucking lol, because his has micro thrusters or something considering he has some of the best and most powerful saber throws I've seen in animated Star Wars.
