Hal certainly has the benefit of being able to "keep" most of his monster feats under Johns. Early Justice League n00b Hal doesn't really begin to compare to vet GL. And I think the gap between early JL Hal to current Hal is larger than early JL Superman to current Superman.

Superman wanted to find out what Orion's deal is, so he blitz-ragdolled him into the ground to question him.

The fact that Superman is able and willing to speedblitz a high-herald [who also happens to have superspeed] is what's relevant here, not the fact that his punches didn't turn his face into mush, when that's blatantly shown as not being Superman's intention in the first place.

And also, Superman has blitzed Hal before, in Justice League. So there's that.
