maybe he can, maybe he can't. the only evidence I've seen supports that he can't withstand a nuke. if you have a scan or factual evidence, then I can be swayed. thing is, many feats in comics are hyperbole. another thing is that comic logic doesn't always mesh with real world logic.

you misunderstand me.
Thor has more panel time deflecting bullets than absorbing the impact. He even mentions in Thor#480 that bullets hurt him. There are so many other examples.........
Only two writers have consistently displayed Thor as bulletproof. Do you even know how many writers have had their fingers in Thor's honeypot?
This is an example of how comic logic doesn't make sense. Bullets hurt him, yet he withstands galaxy busting bs. You cannot assume he is nuke proof without seeing him take a nuke, or seeing what the radiation would do to him.

Yeah and that's called PIS, I can show you bullets bouncing off him like Superman.

The same kind of radiation is in the sun and he's been though that just fine...

or is it pis that bullets bounced off of him? thor is stated to have skin, muscle, and bones 3x denser than humans. this nicely explains his weight and some durability feats, but when you think about it..........there's no explanation for his high end durability feats. Marvel, unlike DC, almost always explains powers and gives credible caps. Thor, a flagship character, is one of Marvel's PIS creations. His showings are more bipolar than any character I can think of.
Aside from Tom Breevort stating that Thor is finally bulletproof(which he explains that Thor wasn't bulletproof before because he always used his hammer to dispel them) There isn't consistent evidence
How could Thor take a nuke when he can only tank 4 Mjolnir's blowing up at the same time?

Thor has only been pierced by a bullet once. And that was from a handgun round which obviously wasn't pis.
Other than that, this sort of stuff has happened:

He's also recently taken bullets too iirc to no effect. Obviously he isn't bulletproof.
But Raisen, you might as well start dropping the scans where Thor can't take a nuke now so these heathens can finally accept it.

i'm aware of all this, but did you happened to read that those bullets cause him welts? he states this himself. do you still call that bullet proof or should we call Thor bullet resistant???? thanks for providing another scan that shows Thor isn't bulletproof
From Merriam Webster
Definition of BULLETPROOF
1
: impenetrable to bullets <bulletproof glass>
2
: not subject to correction, alteration, or modification
Wouldn't you consider welts to be an alteration or modification???
Silver Surfer is bulletproof.
Thor gets welts from .50 cal bullets
Superman takes bullets to his eyeballs. Logical thinking says that Thor can be blinded by .50 cal if they cause his skin to welt.

PIS since Thor isn't even bullet proof
Going to the gym. I really want some evidence when I get back
Originally posted by RaisenSo because the most powerful commonly used bullets can possibly cause welts on Thor, that he's not bulletproof? So anyway, we have one time a bullet has pierced him, one time a shitload of bullets have possible caused him welts, and a bunch more times where he outright tanked them. He's probably not bulletproof.

And in your example from the dictionary, it brings up bulletproof glass. Which would be lucky if a 50 cal bullet would "do no more than cause welts" on it. Way to defeat your own point.
Also, Thor took a missile in the same page, which according to your logic shouldn't be possible since he isn't bulletproof.
