Then maybe Eastwood was parroting someone else as I know he's no fan of Obozo's

"Quode me nutrit me destruit" = "That which feeds me destroys me"

Has particular significance to me.

Then there's the whole Bill Hicks "life is just a ride...." stuff.

If it were true, I'd be the most fur-tastic individual you ever knew.

actually, I've come to the conclusion that I would have done much better in science if someone had told me I wasn't going to succeed.

I excel in negative environments, haha

I've watched all three of Nolan's Batman movies for the first time recently (Batman Begins was my personal favorite), and they have some good quotes in those movies.

"Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."

I don't believe those are real quotes.....

"Somewhere out there is a big ass forest of weed."
-Thomas A Edison

I just heard this one. Recently, in New York City, a 4-year-old girl died after getting hit by a car. Many feel a big reason she died is because it took an ambulance four minutes to get to her (ie, did 9-1-1 drop the ball).

Last week on TV, in an interview with the girl's parents, the reporter asked them how they were coping; how do you cope with something like this? The mother's response:

"You never know how strong you can be until being strong is your only choice."
-- Sophia Russo, mother of Ariel Russo.

This is from a Rocky movie:

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"
