So far I'm the most accurate. Supes exhibits a little more str on average and prolly adds a little more going all out.

As in if, say, Thor confronts somebody like Hulk, then he's generally 'all out' in terms of physical strength, while if he confronts Iron Man, he will always be 'holding back' [JMS notwithstanding]. Superman, on the other hand, will always hold back his strength, both against Iron Man and Thor, nearly everytime. He has to actively have events trigger his war-numb mode [like it was in OWAW] in order for him to fully access his full strength. And at that level, he can one-shot beings that give his 'average all-out mode' a very hard time [again, OWAW]. Superman's power is regulated by his mindset, and it's subconscious in a very different way that any other heroes.

These are just randoms, and they don't really paint a clear picture, but:

Thor (against Iron Man) - 70
Thor (against Hulk) - 90
Superman (average) - 110
Superman (all-out) - 180

I know. Not everyone does that though.

Don't flatter yourself. Want to compare feats? Superman is at least 25% stronger than Thor at average levels if not more. Thor hasn't shown so much strength increase upon not holding back.

Jeez.. Don't get so bent out of shape just because of recent showings. I'm sure Supes will add to his library under Pak. Snyder will probably throw him a bone in Superman Unchained as well...

What disturbs me about this thread is that Superman or Thor going from regular to all out is only a 70% increase in strength apparently 🙂

Preboot superman's strength feats shit on anything Thor has done even taking this hyperbolic feat into consideration. You are talking about shattering moons and shit with several strikes? Talk about holding a black hole which would've destroyed the whole solar system in your hand.

Pak's superman would destroy Thor like his hulk did. Thor's a small god after all.

I know how it's gonna end. You're gonna bring up a certain strength feat, interpret it a certain way, then I'd just end up debunking ure interpretation.

I'd rather do that little by little. That's too time consuming.

Secondly this argument has been done to death in every Superman vs Thor thread in existence. And the arguments for both sides have already been made better than you and I could probably do.

The situation has remained the same throughout the years. Thor is top tier in strength because he has some really great feats and writer's are willing to give him that level of strength. Due to the nature of the character's though Superman will always possess more quantity of strength feats and also due to the nature of the character's better strength feats. Which is why most people agree Superman is above but not greatly above.

About the only people who argue against that are fanboys who have wet dreams of their favorite character completely dominating the other in a fictional dick measuring contest of strength.

I'm tired of that.

I'm already considering closing this thread because I feel it's somewhat of a bait thread and probably a duplicate thread knowing how many threads like this have been made before.

I will leave it open for now, but Abhi don't hassle people.
