Make sure that your character does not violate any of these rules/limitations

- No death-moves, this means attacks that by their very nature are completely unavoidable and un-defendable against.
- No offensive matter manipulation (ie. Can not be used directly on the battlefield/opponents)
- No multiplying (ie. Multiple Man, dupli-kate, multi-paul).
- Power Absorption/Copying/amplification is not allowed beyond the obvious benefits on your amalgamation.
- No going past 99% of light-speed
- No time manipulation
- No complete/inherent invulnerability
- No body-swapping; as I feel this goes against the purpose of an amalgam tourney.
- Changes made to the tier list after this date will not count towards the tourney.

Ampling is not the same as unlocking.

Amping specifically rfers to power-amplification, like Cortez' abilities. I've stated this several times throughout the threads 🙂

The line PG highlights is also somewhat ambiguous. Not curry's fault, it's impossible to be entirely transparent. But "beyond the obvious benefits of your amalgamation" can mean various things. Always best to check during drafts or even once matches start.

More specifically, there were some amps/unlocks discussed, and they were ok'd by curry. Hell, we might not have known the details, but we KNEW Sage was going to unlock something about Rogue. If I had thought such tactics were illegal, I would've been crying murder the moment Sage was drafted.

the means are different but the end result is the same

The restriction on power amping is specifically getting the powers of say Fabian Cortez and then boosting the hell out of Man-Thing's body and some magician's mind.

Yes, Psycho.

I'm not going to go over and justify every single rule I made, but safe to say Power-Amplification was not banned because I wanted to prevent people's drafts from becoming too powerful. There are a lot of things that are banned for reasons other than being OP.

just so you know now: the floodgates are now open

Suck it up Psycho. You don't have to worry about the unholy ass kicking coming your way, until you get past Leo, and Digi/Abhi winner. And boy are those a handful.

Normally I would indulge you in smack talk, but you are correct. The tourney host basically let you draft legion unbound in a high meta tournament. ...

You have to win the whole thing or You're the greatest failure in tournament history since you have the most powerful charactet ever drafted since they hosted tournaments here. Ever

well, good thing you didn't indulge his smack talk...... 😂

and..... 👆

Curry, a few brief notes on match postings:

It might help to reiterate the battlefield conditions in each match as they're posted. Not all judges will be aware of it.

And for the competitors' sakes, maybe a deadline for final posts in the match? It shouldn't be a problem, but we don't want any matches dragging on. Everyone should be able to find the time to make rebuttals if they're given, say, a week.

Lastly, do we have judges lined up?

well, well, looks like we might just have a couple real matches after all.... 😖hifty:

Okay I'm seeing you putting the power cap at high meta, but now people are amping themselves up to be able to destroy the universe. How is that allowed?

I'm sorry, but were people confused when we outlined the Tourney stuff? 😛

This is an amalgam tournament, obviously there's going to be stuff that completely destroy the high-meta limit here. I'm not going to go into specific debates and have people recall their preps because some people feel its unfair that their opponent came up with an amalgam that went further beyond the high meta tier than their own amalgam did.

It doesn't matter what powers current Rogue was drafted with, ID's using a different route to access them. Power unlock is a big part of this tournament. I'm not going to touch his strat because people didn't think to match his drafts 🙂

There's a fine line between bringing high meta++ stuff and meshing into it. I'm going to look into the specifics here but people should be neither surprised nor outraged at the stuff being brought to the table here.

I did make a specific mention about Reed and Doom not being very good draft since their not allowed to bring stuff that is clearly way beyond the high-meta tier. As such I'm going to PM a few of you about stuff like that. There's a very legit concern that people are bringing top-tier stuff to the battlefield and not creating it.

Oh yeah, and you can blame Curryman.

If my attention would not have been brought up to compete in this shindig. You all would have played nice with Chipguy.
