Well, the Surfer has already beaten Kyle. He has also shown superior power containment. Oh, and he has a superior power-set. I guess he wins.

Non canon and a completely rookie Kyle. Surfer also said he was not sure if he could beat Kyle even at full power.

The Surfer is just as versatile, more powerful and has far superior innate strength and durability. Honestly, this is just a bad match-up for Kyle.

Superior power set? More powerful? Greater Strength? GL ring can do ANYTHING. He has contained a supernova in his hand, surfer has no feats in that class. Kyle also restored Earth's orbit by his hands when it was spiraling out of control, give me a strength feat comparable to that from surfer.

Surfer has some uber feats but so do high end GLs. GLs are extremely versatile, powerful & durable, as is surfer. Kyle wins after a good fight.

Gud of you to acknowledge that feat, but why are you calling that a strength feat?

😮

What else would you call it? Kyle had it in his hands. Superman, Diana and J'onn were weakened though.

i count only 7 on panel. 130 is a speculation:

According to what superman said and what was shown on panel, kinda looks like kyle just repaired some of the damage parts and held the existing structure together.

Here is Kyle beating Amazo 2000 which had the powers of every superhero on Earth

Does Surfer has any showing comparable to that?

Exactly. It isn't a strength feat.

Count again how many planets were in that structure. Atom explicitly says that the tethers were all fading which were keeping the planets together.

Who said Heaven's ladder is a strength feat? Its a power showing.

Flip flopper.

Surfer beat Mrrungo Mu who had the power of billions of enslaved aliens from thousands of worlds as well as the powers of most of Earth's heroes and villains. On panel Mu absorbed the powers of Thing and Thor iirc [might have been Colossus or Namor though, been awhile since I've read The Enslavers], then he put the rest of Earth's superhumans in pins that drained them of their powers and fed their powers to him.

He did that by destroying Mu's power source, not beating him directly. He was getting his ass kicked before that. Nice try though.

I've always found this feat to be one of Kyle's best as well...

Just for reference, his construct was sufficient to:
a.) Fully encase the moon of earth 2.
b.) Imprison the entire CSA for 48 hours. ie. Not even the infinity-lifting Ultraman, or Owlman(a guy arguably smarter than Batman himself) were able to breach the construct.

You might also note that the CSA's version of Green Lantern had his ring analyze Kyle's construct... The ring stated that it was "impenetrable."

Yeah, that's an absolutely insane feat. Morrison's Kyle was beastly. Here is the infamous supernova feat

Celey would probably dismiss this feat because he was failing in the end and had to be helped by Kal Kent.

id also like to add another impressive feat for kyle:

a light year wide cosmic storm was approaching at half light speed and accelerating, also notice that it destroyed multiple planets:

and kyle managed to put up a shield to protect himself alongside the platform that he was standing on, while everything else (including the planets) got destroyed

that issue is from 1999 so it's pre-GL rebirth, in case anyone is wondering.

I've always seen GL Kyle vs Surfer as piers.

Green Lantern: New Guardian, isn't it? That's totally insane. Do you have the scans of Kyle absorbing that black hole which was absorbing the sun from GL 167 or something?

Don't you mean peers ?
