Darth Bane (DoE) vs Anakin Skywalker (RotS)

Maul survives a thirty-meter fall:

Discipline.

Most important of all, it conquers failure.

Discipline is what allowed Darth Maul to survive a thirty-meter fall into a pile of rubble and debris: the discipline of his teras kasi fighting skills, which gave him complete control over his body, allowing him to utilize midair acrobatics to direct his fall and so avoid striking ornamental projections, ledges, and other potentially lethal obstructions; the discipline of the dark side, which let him manipulate gravity itself, slowing his descent enough to hit the ground without becoming a lifeless bag of broken bones and ruptured organs, Even half stunned by the unexpected explosion of his speeder bike, Maul was able to aim his falling body in such a way as to survive.

Maul describes his various parts of his training:

To Darth Maul, it seemed that his master had always been there, a part of his life-implacable, indomitable, inexorable. Since before Maul learned to. walk, discipline had been his guiding beacon. Darth Sidious had molded him from a weak, puling child into the ultimate warrior, sculpting his body and his mind as a seamless weapon. Maul was willing to die for him, without question and without hesitation. Lord Sidious's goals were the goals of the Sith, and they would be achieved, no matter what the cost.

Maul's entire existence had consisted of training, of exercise and instruction. Early in his life, before his voice had deepened, Maul had learned the intricate movements and forms of the teras kasi fighting style, the patterns of movements based on the hunting characteristics of various beasts throughout the galaxy: Charging Wampa, Rancor Rising, Dancing Dragon-snake, and many more. He had practiced gymnastics in environments ranging from zero-g to gravity fields twice that of Coruscant's. He had mastered the intricate and dangerous use of the double-bladed lightsaber. And all for one purpose: to be the best possible tool of his master's will.

But he had not learned just how to fight. His master's teaching had encompassed far more than that. He had also learned stealth, subterfuge, intrigue.

What opponent has Maul defeated who was so skilled? Anoon had only opinion to back him up and Qui-Gon is unproven.

For Bondara:

A Twi'lek, with slender head-tails and a heavily muscled upper body, his name was Anoon Bondara, a duelist of unparalleled skill. Qui-Gon engaged him in matches at every opportunity. For a match with Bondara, no matter how brief, was more instructive than twenty contests against lesser opponents.

For Qui-Gon:

Qui-Gon Jinn was one of the most able swordsmen in the Jedi order. The Jedi Master he had trained under had considered him one of the best the Master had taught in his more than four hundred years in the order. Qui-Gon had fought in conflicts all across the galaxy in the span of his life and against odds so great that many others would not have stood a chance. He had survived battles that had tested his skill and resolve in every conceivable way.

Who has Bane beaten on raw skill? Kas'im? He won with a Force attack. The Jedi in RoT? Zannah distracted them and killed one from behind. Zannah? He only ever beat her when he had the orbalisks.

Sirak is the only one, and let's be honest, he's not even worth mentioning.

Force pushes and waves that can pulp internal organs and kill on contact and the ability to disintegrate opponents with TK. Far more devestating than throwing his opponents against a wall. 🙄

EDIT: When he shattered the guards's bones in DOE, weren't that in the prison ie nexus?

Even Zannah, who's sooooo 'weak' in TK can easily kill with the force of her Force Pushes:

Watch the fight. In the middle of the fight inside the cave, Maul chokes Kenobi and then lets him go. If he had tried to kill him, he would've impaled him with his saber.

In the novel Dynasty Of Evil there are two different versions of Bane:

1. Bane at the beginning of the novel is just beginning to feel the effects of the Orbalisk-poison he contracted in the previous book - but he is at his physical-peak and holds the greatest speed-feat in the mythos - being fast enough to swing his lightsaber 62 times per second - a speed feat beyond Sidious and Mace in the Revenge Of The Sith novel and beyond Luke Skywalker at the end of the NJO novels.

and

2. Bane at the end of the novel is a deteriorating-husk close to the brink of death during his duel with Zannah and he is a shell of his former self.

Bane at the beginning of Dynasty Of Evil is faster than Mace, Sidious and NJO Luke - and Bane completely and utterly demolishes Zonakin before Zonakin is able to fire off a single synapse in his brain.

Bane at the end of Dynasty Of Evil is a dying-husk and Zonakin beats him easily.
