Movies are applicable as well. Just if the feats conflict with something in the books, the books takes precedence.

I think russel is definently faster but has he shown any strength feats to hurt edward?

Uprooting a tree is a magnitude above tipping a small car or punching through a body. Edward's strength and durability is above Russell's.

Both vamps are faster than the eye can see but below supersonic. So speed is roughly equal, though even if Ed is slower his mind reading skills will balance it out or tip it in his favour.

All I know is Slayer tears their heads off to retain his title as King of the Vampires.
