Ryu Hayabusa vs Raiden

Ryu from Ninja Gaiden 3 (canonically that should be his strongest version)

Raiden from MGRR

Location: A big, open grass field.
Mindset: They see each other as enemies, so they intent to kill.
Prep: None.
Restrictions: They can just use their swords (Dragon Sword and HF Blade respectvely). And no Blade Mode for Raiden.

Who wins?

Raiden by a wafflestomp.

Raiden killed a Senator.

I actually think both are at the same level in just melee.
But overall, Ryu is stronger, better weapons, better feats, and magic.

Speed is equal. Both casually slice bullets and flip past rockets. Raiden's high frequency blade shakes the targets molecules making it easier to cut. Not sure what the T.Dragon Sword has in power, but doubt it's as sharp.

And strength?

Durability is also in Raiden's favor since he tanks attacks from beings within his strength class (Senator Armstrong)

Oh and "god" is a useless title here so, yeah

Then you remember that one of those "gods" Ryu Hayabusa killed split the planet in half.

That was actually more a response to the "Ryu killed gods" comment but whatevs. Raiden is still physically superior

Of course he isn't, Ryu tanked hits from a being that split the planet in half.

Maybe it has, but I think mostly ended in Raiden's victory.
I think Ryu is being vastly underrated.

Wouldn't call Hayabusa god-like, but he has some haxxed ninja arts and wtf feats.

Didn't Hayabusa swim in lava?

uh...not sure? Don't remember him swimming in lava in NG 1 or 3. Did he do that in 3? Never played the 3rd one.

I don't know, is that in other threads, some people said that Ryu swimmed in lava, don't know if it is true but if he did, he wins in durability.
