Yeah, but they weren't treating it serious enough

They took it serious enough not to release it. 😛

with the success of jurassic world(which i liked) can colin trevorrow direct a dccu film?

An article on comicbookmovie.com makes a good case for Bruce Timm to be the executive producer of the DCCU.

Writer's strike began a series of events that stopped JL. Not sure what held up the old Batman v Superman, because that was floating around for a long time.

But tbh I wouldn't like a JL with no build up to it. Prefer it this way with Superman solo film, Batman/Superman film and a Wonder Woman solo film pre-JL.

Sounds like WB.

Good call. He'd be a great choice.

It probably just wasn't "WB". George Miller in the end agreed that it shouldn't have been made. It was a complete mess from what I hear, so kudos to WB for not just releasing it for money sake.

Man, I would LOVE for this to be real. I highly doubt it, though.

Most likely we will see solo Green Lantern movie faster than we think. From what I know WB decided to give this project in very good hands (at least I am very, very, very, very glad with this choice). New Green Lantern movie will be directed by... Darren Aranofsky (man who almost directed Batman reboot, Superman reboot, Wolverine soft-reboot and Robocop remake!!) – Jon Hamm, Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael C. Hall are three main candidates to take lead role.
Also everything (what I heard) suggests that Aronofsky will go with Hal Jordan character in a much darker areas than Cambell...

I dunno, concept art looked really good. Had a show down between Superman and WW. They could have got there first before Marvel did with the Thor vs Hulk in Avengers.

But like I already said, I'm a fan of a build up to JL. So yeah just going straight into JL wouldn't have been the best idea just for the sake of money.

Jon Hamm and Jake Gyllenhall are both great choices.

I'm going for Jake, personally. Maybe that's one of the reasons he backed out of Suicide Squad, so he can take a more leading role.

Darren and Jake? It's a long shot, but after the casting of Suicide Squad, anything is possible.

So far I've loved every Aronofsky movie I've seen, Noah was unique, Black Swan was incredible and Requim for a Dream was riveting. If the rumor is true, I'm on board.

He'll most likely not do it.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. Darren has already been attached to 3 super hero movies. Batman, Superman, and Wolverine. I feel ONE DAY he will do one. It could very well be a DC property.

I'll believe it when i see it.

To all the Geoff Johns fans.

Geoff Johns? Eh... His WW has been pretty dull.

^ Not read his WW. But going by his comics I have read, and the work he's helped produce on Tv, I would just like him to be heavily involved with every DC property.

At least with creating the basics of the characters, and with the basic plot. A good director can take it from there.

I'm faiirly certain he has never written a WW comic. But WW is a rather boring character in his JL comics.

I don't want Johns to touch hardly any of the stories and or plots.

You just want random directors on each movie doing their own thing right?
