Bale was a step in the right direction but just physically speaking, he was still small in frame in comparison to Batman of the comics, despite being jacked. Based on Affleck's natural size, he actually has the potential to get the closest to the perfect size to play Batman. But I would like to see pictures of where he stands now.

Bale, like Cavill, Is two inches shorter than his respective character he plays. Cavill makes up for it by being so jacked. Bale could've done the same if he wanted to.

I don't think the comics had defined heights for their characters. Besides, bale was playing a grounded, realistic Batman. Affleck, on the other hand, is playing bats in a world where supes and wondey woman exist.
Batman shouldn't be built like Schwarzenegger in his prime or anything. They may draw him to look like a bodybuilder wearing a skintight suit in most comics, but the truth is he's a ninja trained martial artist and wears some selective body armour, just like we've seen the Christoper Nolan films (less like the Michael Keaton version, where he couldn't move his head he was so armoured.)

If WB would ever Zack Snyder (fingers crossed) at this moment the most likely candidate is Ben Affleck.I'm looking for a grassy knoll... 😄
That could work, too, but if he does that, he won't have time for solo Batman movies. I wouldn't mind not seeing solo Batman movies for a while, anyway. Nolan's work is still fresh in my mind.

^ Well Superman vs Batman id still two and a half years away, which means it will be at least three and a half years before we get another solo Batman movie. TDKR will be 5 years old by then.
I still think that's too short of a time frame. It's part of the reason The Amazing Spider-man being released was perplexing to some. Besides, we need to see other solo DC films before Batman gets another solo film. I really hope they are making those plans for other films.
