WB to announce Superman/Batman & JLA movies

I think a Batman solo series will be on the far back burner. It's all going to be about the shared universe from here on out. The Justice League cartoons, even when the villains were Bat-related, still featured other JL members. Like what Marvel is doing with their shared universe films, having supporting characters crop up in multiple films.

If I were DC, I would go for broke in Television. Disney, Fox and Sony may own the big screen, but DC has the little screen all to itself.

Arrow is going strong. All DC has to do is introduce Batman in Arrow, ramp up public interest in the Flash show, give Wonder Woman her own show and possibly other characters.

Superman can be left to the big screen, with frequent cameos by TV characters.

After 4-5 years DC could do Justice League and viewers would be far more invested in the characters.

Remember Adam Driver who was rumored to play Nightwing? Now there are strong rumors that he will be cast as the main villain in the next Star Wars movie. 😂

You never know he might be good in it.

I have nothing against him and I hear he's good in the HBO series.

I agree with everything except the WW television series. That ship didn't even get past the shore.

I still think that's too short of a time frame. It's part of the reason The Amazing Spider-man being released was perplexing to some. Besides, we need to see other solo DC films before Batman gets another solo film. I really hope they are making those plans for other films.

Yeah I hope your right. Unfortunately I'm hearing more about a future Solo Batman movie than I am about a Flash or Aquaman movie.

But I think Roughrider has it right, that there will be no pure solo movies, but all probably shared universe ones. So a Batman movie would probably be a Batman and the Flash movie or a Batman and Green Arrow movie.

Problem is most these television shows don't get many viewers. Arrow only gets an average of 3million viewers believe it or not. It's because it's on the CW. Unfortunately that's where the planned Flash tv series will be as well.

Funny, because the reaction to him being nightwing was a lot worse than the reaction to him being the next Darth Vader 😂

I heard he actually was considered for Lex Luthor. So clearly he is a guy which a lot of studios have their eye on.

Viewers having some exposure to DC characters on tv before movies is better than viewers having no exposure to these characters at all. Also, bringing famous characters to TV will be a tremendous boost in viewership for CW.

True. I can't argue with that. Plus the films and TV series would market each other.

I hope so.

I hope the cinematic version of flash looks just as good as the show version.

I read about a recent episode of Arrow which had a banner for the Blue Devil.

That's really impressive for a TV Show. TV Shows usually look a lot cheaper. Just waiting to see what they can do with the special effects now with a limited TV budget.

i think the effects will be good.. i'm not expecting oscar worthy cgi but for tv and the million dollar budget the cgi should be worth it

Probably won't happen, but it's fun to look at.

Gal Gadot ruins that picture.

Sadly that's true.

She looks very man-face in that shot. And Flash's chest logo looks like it could peel off at any moment.

^ Thankfully that's not the new Flash's actual chest logo. Just fan made.

It is?....who would've thought.
