WB to announce Superman/Batman & JLA movies

Man I've missed alot during my birthday bash

I'll say this, I think that:

1. Cap 3 could EASILY beat BVS
2. BVS could just as easily beat Cap 3
3. Both movies could end up doing roughly the same amount....

Honestly it's too early to say, though with the fact that Cap 2 was received better by critics than MOS, and with Avengers 2 probably driving the hype train...Cap 3 could be stronger than most people think. Also, Winter Soldier was more than just Cap. It had strong showings for Nick Fury and Black Widow, as well as a nice introduction to Falcon....

Cap 3 will most likely feature Falcon, probably more Black Widow and maybe even a heroic turn for Winter Soldier! So, don't let the title fool you, it wont be JUST Cap vs the big DC three.

I'm personally looking forward to both movies. Cap to see how they follow up an amazing sequel, and BVS to see if they can pull it off.

"Easily"? No. It could win in the boxoffice but that seems rather unlikely.

However, I expect it to be a better movie.

Yes, EASILY. It could go either way. Or it could be close. A LOT can happen to both movies/ studios in the time from now and release, and we don't know how Avengers 2 will affect things. I don't think that either film will blow the other out of the water, but is it a possibility? YES. It's an unknown factor that no one can predict my friend.

Easily? Nah.

Cap: Winter Soldier HAS ALREADY BEATEN Man of Steel overseas,, Man of Steel made $377 million overseas..

http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=superman2012.htm

Cap has so far $385 million and should still be in theaters for at least another month or two..

http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=marvel14b.htm

don't believe me then too damn bad

Other sites have MOS at 397 million overseas. Either way the only country that matters is the U.S. imo. Overseas markets take alot of money from the studios epsecially China...where Cap 2 made the most money. Still not surprising that Cap 2 beat MOS overseas with the Avengers bump and all. However Cap 2 could still beat MOS stateside also.

The U.S. is not the only country that matters lol... EVERY country matters, just the U.S. gives the best return. If no other country mattered there would be very few sequels to alot of films because most big budget movies have a hard time getting their U.S. gross to be better than their budget. Look at Pacific Rim: It made around 90,000,000 less than it's budget in the domestic gross, but made enough overseas to get it to around 400,000,000 worldwide. Overseas matters bigtime, just not as much as domestic.

Anyone know how much overseas theaters takes compared to domestic?

I've heard it's around 1/3 of the sales on average go to movie theaters, but not sure how that differs between domestic and overseas.

Well the first theory of mine (and what i think bruceskywalker's theory is) is that Cap will either die in Age of Ultron or in Cap3, thus Bucky taking over being cap. Looking further on this idea I also think that they will find a way to bring back cap (evans) somehow later on. Maybe involving the infinity gauntlet or another way.

2nd theory is the more obvious route involving another cap villain(s) from the comics. Barron Zemo, crossbones, return of red skull etc.
of coarse this will work but i think marvel will likely go more of an unorthodox way since its competing with bats vs supes now.

My last theory is that there will be no phase 3 Black Panther movie. Cap 3 will be used as t'challa's into/origin movie within whatever is going on in the cap3 plot.

whater way they go i think they have BIG plans for Cap 3.

Chris Evans Cap should definitely be in Avengers 3. If anywhere, Cap dies in Avengers 3.

Black Panther can then take over for Cap in The Avengers 4.

That would certainly boost the box office.

Lets look at Pacific Rim. If the overseass totals were flipped with the U.S. totals we'd already have a sequel announced, but we don't. Just sayin.

Why Black Panther? Let him be his own character. Bucky is the perfect choice to take up the mantle of Capt. America.

Anyway, I agree killing Captain Ameirca in Avengers 3 makes the most sense. Especially since Evans said he will be done once his 6 movies are up (IIRC Fiege said his cameo in T:TDW doesn't count).

I think he meant Black panther taking over as the leader not as Captain America.

👆

I think it would be pretty epic if every single Marvel hero came out to fight Thanos in Avengers 3

Captain America
Winter Soldier
Falcon
Black Widow
Hawkeye
Nick Fury
Iron Man
War Machine
Thor
The 3 Warriors
Hulk
Quicksilver
Scarlet Witch
Vision
Luke Cage
Iron Fist
Daredevil
Antman
Deathlok
Phil Coulson and Agents of SHIELD
Guardians of the Galaxy
Maybe Doctor Strange/Black Panther

vs.

Thanos and army

Henry Cavill looking ripped.

MOS:
Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $291,045,518 43.6%
+ Foreign: $377,000,000 56.4%
= Worldwide: $668,045,518
Production Budget: $225

Cap 2:
Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $200,501,510 34.2%
+ Foreign: $385,100,000 65.8%
= Worldwide: $585,601,510
Production Budget: $170

So Cap 2 is about $83 million away from tying with MOS worldwide.
