A Feb 2015 preview would be about a year ahead of release, how is that "desperate"?
I first saw a preview from Intersteller December of 2013 (possibly Nov, but I think Dec since big movies do like dropping initial teasers around the Holidays), that was a good 11 months ahead of release. I don't think anyone claimed "desperation!".
edit: iirc, 'Big Hero Six' I think was months before that, cos I vaguely recall my son being bummed out when I told him he had to wait over a year to see it.

I'd personally love to see something now, cos I personally got a little wet with that teaser they showed awhile back at whichever comic convention it was. Granted, not as wet as the Avengers: AoU one, since that was a proper preview.

lol.. I guess you are forgetting the fact that WB/DC has copied Marvel when they have released their movie schedule far in advanced of them actually making the films.. Remember Marvel did that first when they come out and say what film is coming out(insert date) , and eventually who will star.. WB/DC is doing the EXACT same thing by announcing dates of films and later on saying who is in them, etc.. The only thing WB/DB has not copied Marvel is the fact that WB/DC is doing Team up film first , rather than solo film first

Well there will be a WW solo film first. There's anyway a Superman solo film. So t they're doing a mix of some solo' s first and other solo's after.

Unless you are actually negatively impacted by having a teaser trailer come out earlier then it originally would have. That I'd suggest something else entirely to deal with a pressing issue.

That's the point...some people...cough cough QUAN...have the notion that DC & Marvel are living sentient beings that hate & try to out-do eachother in a never-ending constant battle for supremacy.
Both COMPANIES have a marketing division that decides the publicity for each film.
Christ, just be lucky you live in an age where your comic book heroes can finally be translated into live action on the big screen with a big budget to boot.

Perhaps because it would seem overly eager to put out the first trailer for BvS Before the first trailer for Avengers 2 is out, when BvS is coming out a frigging year after Avengers 2!
