why?

menacing isn't a trait of Luthor... unless you think all white dudes with bald heads and tailored suits look menacing.

i'm concerned about his elocution and mannerisms.

He looks like he doesn't f^ck around, which is what Snyder is going with.

It's only a pic, so it all depends on how he gives the performance, which the most important thing, of course.

I'm juz thinking Lex looks pretty young to be the antagonist especially if Batfleck is supposed to be weary, tired & worn out...

Not sure I get why Batman being older matters, what do you mean?

Lex is supposed to be around the same age as Supes in this movie with Bruce being older.

It sounds like to be Bruce is going to get the shit beat out of him though, Cavill does not mess around as shown.

this is comicbookverse batman though... I have said numerous times, this Batman has got to prove he can stay toe to toe with alien powered beings.. IMO, JL , part 2 will feature Darkseid and I seriously doubt Batman will be sitting on the sidelines twiddling his thumbs,, he will be front and center kicking ass. That basically starts next march when Bruce and Kal fight and then team up. Batman has got to have a great showing against Kal and if he doesn;t then that might spell disaster going forward. This brand all new version of Batman will have plenty of his comic book feats/traits which will be a good thing.

True but you have to remember we know how this Kal-El is, he dont **** around, even when he was held back by his father, now he is unleashed and took on an army of kryptonians. Unless Batman builds a suit that is as strong as kryptonians, just don't see how he stands a chance. This guy dont back down from fights. And we seen how powerful he is, and he's only going to get stronger and more powerful and we still have not seen freeze or super breath.

Kal will be dumbed down most likely.... remember bruce will have prep as i suspect the film will take place at least 6 months later..

MoS Clark isn't smart, so I don't think he'll need to be dumbed down.

Wasn't he the one to come up with the plan in colliding two Kryptonian drives to form a singularity? Seems he at least paid attention in Science 101.

I doubt it, he's an idiot.

I'm just saying Eisenberg looks "boyishly young" compared to Supes.

While Batman being older than Supes....I've never known a film where the villain is much younger than the hero.

Rob forced his family to the theatre to watch this offensive shit known as Man of Steel. I contemplated calling child services.

Going to enjoy the Marvel fanboy tears if this ends up good.

Haven't bought a recent comic in years although I have a stash from over 20 yrs ago.

Manga/anime....no obvious age gap difference comes to mind but I'm not a serious follower.

Movies...the only obvious is Robocop 2 & the juvie drug dealer working for Cain.

Television...too much drivel.

I'm just saying a bald Eisenberg looks like he just graduated from uni up against an ageing Batman & Cavill with a head full of hair could easily pass as an older brother to Lex...that's all I'm saying.
Is Lex supposed to be an evil boy genius in the movie...I don't know.

Nah, he got that idea from reading comic books.
