If he writes him like Angel, sure.

Reynolds? Not so much, imo.

A combination of the two would be ideal in my opinion

Honestly though, some of the Angel episodes that Whedon has written are very Batman-ish. Malcolm Reynolds is also a good example of Whedon's ability to create adult, complex, dark characters with suave and wit.

Yeah there's some episodes in the 1st season of Angel I can see as the right tone for Batman.

The one with Jeremy Renner?

For Batman? Really? Hal Jordan, I totally see it, but Batman? He's not the snarky type.

I'd say that he gets more Batman-ish as time went on.

Whedon should just make an Angel movie.

Phuck Batman.

The cast is still young enough too.

I wouldn't consider Mal snarky at all actually. If anything, he was written as a character with strength and conviction, with darkness and moral complexity and with suave and an occasional light-hearted side. A lot of those elements would fit fantastically with Batman, some elements would not fit well. Anyways, I wouldn't put it past whedon to acclimate to Batman and deliver a kickass movie.

Uh...what?

How is he not snarky?

Sure he's snarky at times, but I wouldn't define his character with "Snarky". There are other aspects of his character which are in a way universal, well fitting for a Bruce Wayne

I honestly don't agree. Bruce Wayne, being a "role" Batman plays, is a more in-control, less "seat of his pants" kind of guy, which I feel Reynolds is.

That said, I still think Whedon could do a good job with Batman, given the chance.

Sure

let whedon do batman then he can kill affleck and the film will be a battle for the cowl type script with an adult Dick Grayson taking over 😂 😂 😂 😆 😆

I dunno, I'm thinking of the first episode where he doesn't save the girl. Was pretty dark. Then the one with Spike and the Pedo Vampire torturing him.

As time went on the tone became more and more Buffy like with the humor. Not that it wasn't still a great show.

I think it did get a bit lighter in the middle, but by mid season 4, I honestly felt like it was getting darker again, darker than it had ever been before, which culminated with the "lost cause" towards the end of the show.

And Angel's amazing prep work in season 5... I remember watching it, and I will freely admit I never saw that shit coming.

👆 Not at all

Looks alright, nothing extraordinary.

He looks like he stepped out of the Arkham series. He will look a lot better on film, obviously.

Looks phucking retarded tbh, but yea, it'll probably look better on film.
