Either way, he's the director for JL, so you're either with it or against it.

LOL Stop talking like that Dictator George Bush. I'm against the decision of Director but am still hopeful the movie and the whole DCCU it all turns out well.

I'm thrilled to see the JL in Snyder's vision.

To each his own.

I'm thrilled Ayer is doing Suicide Squad and Leto is playing Joker. Have no complaints there.

On the other hand, WB might be using Snyder for BvS, JL1 and JL2 because they're shooting them back to back to back. Kind of like how Peter Jackson did all 3 Hobbit films.

Yeah that's possible. He might have given WB his Vision for those 3 movies and it might have been 1 big story split in 3 parts and something they really liked and thought would be best in his hands.

Obviously we don't know all the facts. All I'm saying is I accepted him doing BvS but wasn't jumping up and down about it, but then did a facepalm when I found out he's directing JL as well. And will likely Double facepalm if it's confirmed he's doing JL2 Part 2 on top, no matter how Great BvS is.

Whatever. I don't care who directs them, I just want them to be good. No use debating back and forth before the movie even comes out.

You should care directs them

with that sort of talk, would you be fine if WB hired Micheal Bay to direct one of the movies?

It's not like Michael Bay hasn't done anything good. people forget he directed the Rock, which is one of the best action movies in the 90's. Pain N Gain was decent, too. Transformers suck, though.

Joss Whedon wants to direct Batman. And he says he loves going to DC movies. Hmmm.

Only if it's good. 👆

Whedon doing a batman film could be GOLD.

Bruce Wayne could play a Malcolm Reynolds type character except more brooding. Basically, put Angel and Malcolm Reynolds together and you have a Bruce Wayne now that I think of it!

I doubt WHedon is doing anything for a while now though

Why you say that?

Whedon has expressed how physically and mentally exhausted he is and that he wants to rest and then do something fresh. Who knows though, by the time DC is ready for a Batman movie Whedon may be ready to go for another big-budget summer blockbuster.

Well, both stand alone Batman and Superman movies will be coming out before 2020. Does this give him enough rest? Let's say it comes out in 2018 or 2019.

As long as Superman movies keep coming out, I'm happy. We finally got a good Superman, DC will fly with it.

Quans man squeeze Ben Cumberbatch would be a good lex, wish they had used him instead of the social network guy.

^ If it comes out in 2018 then he'll be back to work next year. And it gives him zero time to work on any of his own projects. So I doubt it.

Not sure how much of a fit Whedon wound be for Batman. I'd prefer him doing Wonder Woman or The Flash for DC. And Spider-Man for Marvel/Sony. He always wanted a crack at Spidey.

Assuming the next batman film is slated for 2018, any potential director would have to get involved at least 2 years in advance. With Whedon, since I'd assume he'd want to do some script work, maybe 2 and a half years in advance. That leaves 6 months between the release of Avengers 2 and the beginning of pre-production for a batman film. Based solely on that, I sincerely doubt Whedon would want to get involved. I don't know whedon personally, but from all that I've seen of him I feel like I know him pretty well.

Verdict doubtful. But it would be pretty ****ing awesome if it works out that way.

Honestly though, some of the Angel episodes that Whedon has written are very Batman-ish. Malcolm Reynolds is also a good example of Whedon's ability to create adult, complex, dark characters with suave and wit.

If he writes him like Angel, sure.

Reynolds? Not so much, imo.

I agree with Pr, Reynolds is a straight up b*tch. 👆
