I've seen some complain over Batman's electronic sounding voice. That is infinitely better then Bale-mans voice. He sounded ridiculous, and how nobody ever asked him if he needed a lozenge is beyond me. In the scene from DKR when he goes to the doctor and they talk about all his injuries I half expected the doctor to say "and some unusual scarring to your throat tissue".

^ I'm guessing electronic voice is only in the armored Batbot suit, and not in his regular Bat outfit. But who knows, might be used with both costumes.
Having something that electronically changes your voice makes a lot more sense then just making your voice raspy. It'd be a nice change if it was in his normal suit as well.
Then again in this universe a pair of glasses is sufficient to cover your identity.

Why does Batman even need to change his voice, it's stupid.
Voices tend to change when your mood shift. Not to an altogether different voice or something, but the pitch and the cadence.
Kevin Conroy is a perfect example of an affable Bruce Wayne and a deeper voiced (though not throat cancery bale) Batman.

Because then he ends up being the next George Clooney Batman. The only Batman who didn't change his voice in costume.

Batman intentionally tries to make his voice sound more manly, he's compensating.
