I know. But MOS was widely liked. It's somewhat of a myth that it was more hated than liked. Made 128 M OW, finished with 668 M total, with insane competition. Rated around the same with most Marvel films and does very well in some polls.

Also, sold more on DVD/Blueray than Iron Man 3 and finished in the top 3 overall. It's well liked.

The last few Transformer movies were garbage and made tons of money. Amazing spiderman 2 made more than MOS and it was also crap.

Your argument is invalid.

Transformers Age of Extinction made over 1 billion dollars world wide.

1 billion.

Dollars.

Garbage to YOU, but the GA ate up those movies. Or they wouldn't be going to see movie after movie.

Like with the Iron Man sequels, I'm always there hoping the new sequel captures the magic of the original film. But that's just me.

tbf, roughly 900 million of that came from bada and other dino-porn enthusiasts. Not really a fair comparison.

I know we talk shit about the IM sequels, but the GA tends to like them, despite them being talked crap on this site. The studio wants the general audience to like them, they don't care about pleasing everyone, because we know that doesn't happen.

I don't think so. I don't really meet people who go on about how awesome IM2 or IM3 was, but granted that could just be my small circle of people.

I personally think it's all the goodwill the Iron Man character has built up from IM1 and the Avengers franchise.

Yeah, just a small sample of people. Millions of people go to see these blockbusters. How can you say most people hate them if you don't know them. Fact is, most people go to see the special effects more than anything. I'd say the people in my circle generally like the Iron Man movies.

Basically Affleck tried to defend the direction snyder took with MOS and say that they are basically embracing and going forward with the dark, emotional, realistic, depressing tone with BvS & justice league.
All while saying that their movies are not shallow, lighthearted, and full of jokes.

I guess when you underachieve at something the correct course of action is to keep doing what you did the first time. barker

that's a mistake IMO.... You would think that they would have changed some things

Firstly I didn't say people hate them. I said I don't hear anyone go on about how great IM2 and IM3 were.

Box Office is more about hype and excitement than anything else. That hype and excitement has to be built up somehow, and obviously good WOM helps, but box office does not dictate how much people enjoyed the movie.

Because you go to watch the movie before you know how much you enjoyed it. You said yourself MOS sold better on DVD/Blu-Ray than IM3 did. Despite IM3 having double the box office of MOS.
