Don't put words in my mouth, I only asked why you felt JL wouldn't be as successful or even more so seeing it's the first time we will have Flash, Aquaman, Superman, Batman, etc... on the same screen.

I can easily see BVS and JL Part 1 making a billion. Then you have SS which I think will make around 600-700 M WW. That's a HUGE start for WB/DC. And much bigger than Marvel's first 3-4 films BO wise.

You are comparing Movies that featured 1 hero (2nd or 3rd rate ones at that) vs a movie that is full of every (1st rate) dc characters, wb/dc could possible fit into it to get people into the seats.

Most of them are cameos. Like Aquaman and WW. Just like Iron Man guest stared in some of the phase 1 films. Suicide Squad is a much lesser known than say Thor, Cap, and Hulk.

Still stands that you are trying to compare wb/dc are using 1st rate popular characters vs iron man , cap, thor which were unpopular 2nd and 3rd rate characters.

Funny you mention suicide squad. A movie that features dc's most popular villain and now will also feature Batman.
Like I said wb is using every trick in the book to get people in seats.

Looking forward to suicide squad though. BvS unfortunately seems will follow in the same formula that made me not like MOS.

Joker is more than likely a small part compared to most of the Squad which are c listers ar best. WB has a good srtagegy. They've been building their characters for decades on both the big and small screen.

IMO, and this will change depending on the tracking for BVS opening numbers and WHAT IT ACTUALLY OPENS TO but I think BVS will wind up with $700-$800 million WW... while Suicide Squad might make a total of $400-$600 million WW depending on how much WB spends... also how much Smith takes off the backend..

Almost every article you see about Suicide Squad features the Joker in some way shape or form, along with Harley. Even before the Movie started filming there were spy pictures of Leto's new hair color. They are and will market the hell out of Joker.
Now even Batman is in the hype mix on suicide squad news.

You said "whose to say JL won't be bigger" and I responded that's just my opinion.

Basically because we already would have seen Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman in the same movie together- BvS.

So I'm not sure how much additional excitement there would be for Flash whose not had a solo movie in the middle, or for WW and Aquaman having larger roles than the last time. So it will basically be seen as a sequel to BvS, but with more heroes added.

Whilst with BvS I feel like that has all the hype and all the build up after Decades of Batman and Superman Solo films, we're finally getting both of them together. Plus it's the first Big Screen appearance of Wonder Woman who has always been the most famous Female Superhero Name.

For marketing purposes, sure. WB has been using their A listers on both the big screen and small. That's how they became big in the first place. Of course they would focus on the Joker. He will probably have the screen time as Heath. 10 minutes or so. Just enough time to steal the show.

Could be. The novelty seemed absent from the second Avengers, which won't make neatly as much as the first. But I think that's due to it not being as good as the first.

You're wrong. The purpose of individual movie threads is talk about THAT movie. Like i said, you can make another thread for side-by-side comparisons. If i go into an Avengers thread, i expect to see conversations about the plot, visuals, characters, etc. from that movie, not page after page of two morons arguing about which company is better.
