I honestly think the fans who felt let down by the obvious similarities of TFA to ANH will be a bit more hesitant in "believing the hype" once The Rogue One marketing starts.

All the in-jokes of how easy it is to blow up a Death Star (& now a Death Station) kinda lessens the impact of Rogue's storyline.

No, it doesn't at all. Star Wars fever is running wild and thinking the general public echoes your sentiments is ridiculous. Come next December you'll be proven wrong yet again.

the marketing for Rogue One started already... it is called Star Wars: The Force Awakens... I have already read that because TFA is doing bogonzo(sp?) business, people are already wanting to see Rogue One....

Pre-TFA, fans were intrigued with Rogue One because it was being labelled an Indy spin-off.
The same fans also questioned why the need to tell the tale of stealing the Death Star plans?
They already knew the outcome.
Why bother?

When it is successful you will eat crow.

I'm excited for Rogue One simply because it doesn't take place in the b.ullshit sequel era.

Leave your mother out of this.

You wouldn't want me as your new step-daddy.

I honestly have no doubt at all that fans & the general public will watch it.

If anything, Rogue One should've been released before TFA as a restart of the franchise.

New WW and BVS footage today. First look at Cyborg and Flash?

Justice League 0.5 🙁

Then maybe Snyder shouldn't have called the movie Batman V Superman and made Dawn of Justice the main title. There have been plenty of movies with the same basic concept of heroes not liking eachother but have to get along when the big bad plots world domination. You don't see Marvel Cinematic calling their Avengers movie Iron Man V Thor do ya?

As far as marketing goes, Batman Vs Superman is more relevant and identifiable to people than, Dawn of Justice. Also, i don't see anything wrong with spinning the movie as a Batman VS Superman movie if the majority of the movie revolves around the two opposing each other, which i'm sure it will. I think it's similar to the Captain America/ Civil War title. It's a marketing tactic, one that i'm sure the Directors have very little input over.

I like the looks myself. I think we will get green lantern in part 2. Seeing as they are making green lantern corps.

Looks shitty.

Johns confirmed GLC as part of the JL universe.

"We've been to the bottom of the ocean. We've been to ancient Greek mythology, we've been to the past and future with the Flash, we've been to the digital world with Cyborg. We still got to go to space. So the Green Lanterns and the Green Lantern Corps are coming to join the Justice League universe," Johns said in the special.
