Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

It is kind of lame that they've already skipped to the end and shown us Batman and Superman teaming up, in a movie that called frigging Batman V Superman!

They showed us what we already knew would happen. Don't act like you expected them to fight the whole film without coming together. "Dawn of Justice" is in the freaking title.

Now people are just looking for reasons to complain.

When does it ever?

How many people think they'd actually try to kill each other, and that it isn't just the same trope about heroes who fight before teaming up?

The movie probably shouldn't have ****ing been called Batman vs. Superman then.

It's not called that so...

They've said from the beginning that it's a clash of ideologies and not a straight fight. Hence using "v" as opposed to "vs." So, you're wrong. It was never billed as though the physical confrontation was the main draw.

Here are the first 2 teaser trailers.
Main focus was Batman eventually fighting Superman.

Here is an international trailer. I dont even have to speak the language to know that the focus of this trailer/movie was Batman fighting Superman.

Yes, they will fight. However, they've also stated the reasoning behind calling it Batman V. Superman, as in a court case. So your point is moot.

They are clearly going to fight and it's always been billed as a confrontation. Anyone saying otherwise is lying to themselves.

Ok let me get this straight, You are trying to deny the hype of this movie was these 2 characters fighting each other.
What you are now saying is that they planned on getting peoples asses in theater seats is by these 2 fighting it out in court?

No. I'm denying that, while the 2 characters would fight, we're all genre savvy enough to know how it was going to play out. Nobody posting on this site should be complaining about them spoiling that part. It's a trope of the genre. Heroes fight then team up against a bigger threat. We all know this so acting like it was some secret is disingenuous.

Also, the director specifically said it wasn't all about the physical confrontation in an interview I know we all saw/read because we're comic/movie geeks on a comic/movie board.

Geez, Baby.

You just can't admit when you're wrong, can you?

How was I wrong, exactly?

80'sbaby is right.

While the synopsis for Snyder’s BvS does mention an all-too-common storyline in comic book movies (humanity is at risk yet again), as of right now, it does seem like a noticeable amount of the movie’s narrative will be character-driven, and that’s certainly a promising direction. Currently, it looks like Batman and Superman aren’t just fighting over a simple disagreement – there’s a clash of ideologies and several themes at play. Giving extra insight into the psyche of the two biggest DC heroes is an approach that many fans would more than likely appreciate – assuming it’s handled well, of course. This not only has the chance to make the story more compelling, but it also has the chance to produce some legitimately thought-provoking drama.

Wow. Imagine that...

And this:

Via USA Today:

The director can't say exactly how the relationship between the two superheroes evolves, "but suffice it to say there is a 'v' in between their names" in the movie title, Snyder says. He explains that having the "v" instead of "vs." is a way "to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way."

Who said that was what the entire film was going to be about ?

And just to put the final nail in:

“Suffice it to say there is a 'V' in between their names,” Snyder tells USA Today. And that’s “to keep it from being a straight ‘versus’ movie, even in the most subtle way.”

That's from 2014. Now, you all were saying?
