No mention of Gordon at all?

?

Barbara Gordon is rumored to make a cameo appearance and it's Jenna Malone, she's hardly in the same league as as Irons acting-wise.

Agreed with this.

Watchmen also had the best ending super villain encounter. The entire team going to confront Ozy and stop him from bombing the world was epic. That is how you do a final battle.

To this day though, no super hero movie has outdone the train sequence in Spiderman 2.0 or the Abomination fight from Hulk. Those stand above all as the greatest super movie fight scenes.

Do love me the SM2 train scene, especially the extended cut.

Smallville Scene in MOS and Hulk vs Hulkbuster were great too IMO.

Agree with Rob, Watchmen was great.

They're good too.

MoS had great action scenes, I thought. They went out of their way to show variation in Supernan's powers, and to show how quickly he'd have to learn if he wanted to keep up with the Kryptonians.

I though Watchmen in general was pretty damn good, and to me, it showed that Snyder with a good screenplay can do great things.

Honestly though, wtf @ Momoa.

I'd have gone for Ben Foster, longer hair + beard + some time in the gym, he'd look the part and he's also a decent actor when given a good role.

Rupert Grint.

He doesn't need the beard necessarily, but sure, he's a good actor and I could see him doing a good job.

Yeah, not a necessity, just think AM looks more formidable in the comics/films when he has the longer hair and beard. Flashpoint Paradox withstanding, he was a beast in that one.

Not that Momoa's looks are the problem, he looks good for the part, even if it is different than what we're normally used to, his acting though. Meh.

I'd be okay with the "hook hand" look, if they would just make him Arthur Curry. But they're not doing that, at least, not in terms of the character itself. He might still have the name, but that's not enough imo.

Tim Curry. Dye his hair red and he's good to go.

Has Momoa had anything to work with beyond role where he grunts and looks intimidating(GoT)? Still I think he's a better pick for AM than Gadot or Eisenberg are for their respective roles.

He's a lead in a TV show

Stargate Atlantis is the only thing he's been in where he's really had a chance to stretch his legs, imo.

He was pretty good as Ronan/Ronon (however you spell it). Someone like Aquaman just, if they're writing him at all properly, needs more.

Thank you guys. I won't write Momoa off just yet as this movie has much bigger challenges ahead of it.

Good to see another person that has watched Stargate Atlantis in regards for Momoa

seems to be mostly GoT for most folks.

Well it was a pretty niche show. I think some people even consider it the weakest of the three. Which is sad, as it had some really good episodes and ideas.

Plus, the episode with Ronon and Teal'c going all Die Hard was awesome.

Sad thing is, I don't dislike Momoa. I actually think he's a reasonably okay actor. I just think making him Aquaman was an awful decision, and was only done for diversity's sake.

Another outstanding scene is in Superman Returns...saving the plane from crashing.

When Supes grabs one wing & it rips off...just goes to show that super strength isn't the solution for every disaster.

Seriously though, who would make a good pick for Aquaman in your opinion?

I think Momoa is gonna pretty much surprise us all.

Assuming they were going with the actual Arthur Curry and not changing his backstory... Robtard said Ben Foster, who wouldn't be bad. Alexsander Skarsgard. Chris Hemsworth if he hadn't been doing Thor would have been all right. Jensen Ackles. Tom Hardy. Travis Fimmel maybe. Charlie Hunnam. All are decent enough, I'd argue.
