Hard to tell without proper Press Screenings. With just over a week to go doesn't seem like they have much faith in the Press giving this a thumbs up.

Difference is though this has Batman and Snyder's Darker tone suits Batman. The mistake was probably giving MOS a dark tone as well so now it feels like 2 Grimm movies in a row.
But if you want to take Bats anger towards Supes seriously, then probably best to keep the tone darker for this one Imo. Can lighten it up with JL.

Me, I was okay with MoS but understand why many people dislike it.
Zod was hardly a worse villain than generic and completely forgettable losers like Malekith, Kurse, Ronan, Destroyer, etc. The list of Marvel villains who are nothing more than cannon fodder for the hero can go on forever. At least he had a motivation and something he strived for, other than RAWR I NEED AN INFINITY STONE!

Um, I'm not saying Zod was a laughing stock because of his motivations and characterizations (however I don't feel that it seperates him from Marvel villains in that regard).
My point was that he was supposed to be a General and a soldier; DESIGNED to be superior at combat and war. And yet he got taken out by a scientist and a farmboy. That's pretty f***ing lame. Not sure why you had to bring Marvel into the mix anyway....never said that Marvel villains shit on him or anything.

Of course the majority didn't "love" it like they did Winter Soldier or GOTG. But they seemed to have enjoyed it enough for repeat viewings.

Zod was the same type of villain as Ronan and Malikeith, just with more screen time.
All pretty one dimensional.
All strong military types
All wanting revenge for their people
All wanting to destroy a planet/universe or turn it to their liking (Zod,Malekith)
Zod: "RAWR I need revenge on this one specific person! "
Same shit. Like I said only difference is that Zod had more screen time to flesh or his motivations more. But it was basically ,"Rawr I need to kill jor-els son!".
The other 2 had some of their story arcs clips taken out the film.
The only reason Zod is even remembered more is because he got his necked snapped.
