I remember seeing a review that essentially said this move was bad because it was philosophical instead of "fun" like a "superhero movie is supposed to be". So I guess this movie was too smart for most audiences, who again rank stupid shit like IM3 above this. I mean, why reflect on themes of xenophobia and misotheism when you can laugh at a lame Tony Stark joke?
You're still playing that card? You're not some genius because you liked BvS. I've already said, it has more plotholes than any cbm other than the recent FF. It's not a good movie man. Don't be butthurt and insult everyone that saw it for what it was. It TRIED and FAILED to be intellectual. Anyone claiming it's too smart for the GA is wrong; plain and simple.

So I can do it with Jason Bourne but I can't here?

You can do whatever you like; it's just my opinion that it makes the movie look worse if you do.

I didn't find any real intelligence in this film.

Junk food movies with no real themes, like IM3 or AOU, would fit that, imo.

IM3 and AOU weren't cerebral-minded either, imo.

Anyhow, glad you liked it, at least you didn't leave with a feeling like you wasted time and money.

More plot holes than AOU? Please. What hyperbolic nonsense. List the plot holes you found in this, and let's see if they're plot holes or stuff you didnt pay attention to.

I think these Snyder Superman movies are going to always be divisive. Hopefully Suicide Squad won't be.

Meh, just because you put mature themes in your work doesn't make it inherently better or more intellectual. See GTA.

That would be great if this was simply MOS2.

Its cinema score was a B/B+. Not a D/D-.

That's a good number overall. TDKR didn't make that much more and it's coming off of a movie that made 668 WW.

I never get these arguments over comic book movies trying so hard to be more than what they really are.
Like trying to be mature, dark, deal with adult themes, muted colors, scowling faces, etc.
All that is fine and dandy, but not to the point that the people making these movies forget that the source material for these movies are children s characters.
They want to convince themselves and the audience that they are not watching a film based on characters from comics and cartoons.
They want to seem they are making some art house film that you go home and think about how complex everything was, and maybe you cry inside thinking about it. lol
No matter how edge, dark, mature they try to make these films, at the end of the day its about grown men dressing up in pajamas to punch each other.

I'm a guy who can get entertainment value from thematic films such as this and mindless violence such as GTA. IMO this and MOS are essentially to the comic book genre what TWD is to the zombie apocalypse genre: taking a rather silly premise and deconstructing and exploring its themes in depth through a mature real world perspective.

Guess it's just my opinion though.

Yah, AoU and IM3 were fairly straight-forward. They weren't really aiming to be intellectual. Just trying to entertain the masses.

I've already posted MANY sites that cite the issues with BvS. But since you obviously didn't bother reading them, here are a few points:
Spoiler:

1. Lex Luthor discovers the ancient Kryptonian ship which happens to not only speak perfect english, but also apparently teaches him the keys to the Universe in the span of a few hours. He also creates Doomsday to kill Superman. HEY, that's GREAT. Problem is, what happens when DD kills Superman. What's Lex's contingency plan for that? Fly to the moon?

2. Batman is an incredible hypocrite. He is ready to MURDER Superman just because Superman did the best he could IN MoS to avoid loss of Human life. Meanwhile, Batman goes around murdering criminals all the time. Yet he has the audacity to declare Superman a death sentence....Batman should more than anyone else, understand; instead, he just comes off like a giant douche.

3. Batman is also ready to KILL Superman with the spear, and all it takes for him to not kill Supes is for Superman to say "MARTHA". That's right. Superman, instead of saying you have to save MY MOM, so conveniently says you have to save Martha. Oh, and let's not forget Lois Lane running in just in time to make sure that Batman knows that; despite not being there to hear him say it. And, I'm sorry, we're to believe that JUST THAT ALONE would make a man ready to Murder another man stop dead in his tracks and become best bros for life?

If you want more I can go on and on and on. There are tons of things wrong with this movie.

To be fair, it's just one guy saying that. I think the rest of KMC wouldn't bother trying to insult other members just because they didn't like it.

The same general audience who flock to Bayformers movies and the same critics who give positive reviews to crap like Avatar and Prometheus? Don't underestimate the stupidity of audiences and critics. Especially when they give IM3 a 79%.
