Yah. Not only did they Rush Doomsday, but they then rushedSpoiler:
Superman's death......AND then the fact that they revealed he's not dead. Entirely fuggin' pointless. What a waste, and it really screws over future DCU movies because now that Superman already died, we know he's not dying again. Gj WB.
Synder mentioned that he deliberately wanted
Spoiler:
Superman out of the picture at the end of the movie. He wants Batman alone to form & bring the JL together. "Like one samurai gathering the rest of the samurais together.

I think that was a good decision. Gave the ending that umph this movie needed. Would have been too bland otherwise, and I like the idea of

Batman recruiting the Justice League to replace Superman in the coming threat he's seen

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/batman_vs_superman/batman-v-superman-breaks-records-with-worst-friday-sunday-drop-a132737There might not be a Justice League next year if a 55% drop from Friday to Sunday forbodes bad legs.
I don't mind WB delaying JL. It's half their fault the movie wasn't as good as expected since they wanted to rush to establish the universe. They had Iron Man 2 and Amazing Spider-man 2 as perfect examples of what to avoid and still did it. When will they ever admit they don't know what they are doing and get DC involved?

But Supes had DBZ fights and stuff 😐Though I'm actually interested in seeing where the Batman/WW solo films go as long as Snyder stays away from it or is heavily monitored.
To be fair (on Snyder) this film had 6 writers credited to it.
It's also a fair assessment to assume some of those writers were given certain agendas by WB to include in the storyline.
On hindsight, maybe it would've been a better idea just to have Goyer write the script instead of bringing in Terrio & 5 other writers.
People groan at Goyer but at least he has the proven track record of writing comic related films.
Maybe Terrio should get the blame more than Snyder?

I think there should have just been a new team of writers all together. The same problems with Superman in MoS dealing with dialogue carry over into BvS as well: maybe even worse as he comes off as a side character at time in this film. With new writers maybe the story wouldn't feel as disjointed as it did.
I don't think Terrio should get more blame but I do think that he should share in some of it.
I think leave Justice League Part 1 until 2019 (when Part 2 is due).
That way we'd get the Flash and Aquaman solo movies first. Might even fit a solo Batman movie in there.
WB have tried to do it their way (team movie first, solo movies later), and it's clearly costing them. Don't worry about "copying" Marvel. They've simply done it the right way.

Yeah but it's one thing to gain his powers from the sun, it's another thing
Spoiler:
that he now has self generating healing powers. I mean that was a bloody big puncture wound!
It's holdover on Monday wasn't bad:
Has a 181million 4 day total now. So probably was a slight case of "we'll watch it on Monday and stay at home Easter Sunday".

As of now this is the worse movie display of Superman.
It's a better movie than Superman 3, Superman 4 and Superman Returns. Not NEARLY his worst performance.

Snyder can get ****ed at this point. I've been watching interviews the last few days and holy shit it's horrifying.

I'd rate this movie as being better.

Weren't you semi-defending him before? Which part from his interviews have annoyed you?
I'll defend him all day long as a visual director that's good at action scenes, and that won't change.
You hear what he said about Aquaman though? Or him defending why Batman
Spoiler:
kills in the movie?
Ugh, hate Frank Miller so much right now too.
