Worst ever Friday to Friday drop for a comic book movie:

After really thinking hard about it, My final resting review for this movie is a 5/10. I just couldn't forgive the terrible writing and plot holes (along with all the other problems).

Thats a shame, still took in over 500 million though. Maybe they will get rid of Zach and Bring Singer back. I think Singer could do great things with Cavill and Wonder Woman.

You don't know that.

It's been heavily hinted by the movie and the deleted scene, so I'd be worried.

What deleted scene? How does it prove they are going to shit out another film without learning from this movie?

The deleted scene with Lex that was posted online this week shows what looks like Steppenwolf and motherboxes.

The movie heavily hinted at Darkseid coming soon.

At this point I don't trust them to get Darkseid right, as much as I desperately want to see Kirby's Fourth World brought to life.

It's gonna be like the Hobbit. I so wanted a great representation of the Hobbit on the big screen, but what we got was utter shit. Hopefully WB realized that Snyder needs to go.

I thought the Hobbit was okay; it just looked worse when compared to what came before it. And what they put Jackson through was awful.

Hobbit wasn't bad, but some changes were really unnecessary.

Azog being alive, Legolas... Beorn having his greatest moment stolen from him, etc.

No way. The basterdized the Hobbit. It should have been AT MOST 2 movies. It's the shortest Tolkien published book but they made it a trilogy unto itself. They added more made up shit that went against the lore. It was insulting. The hole thing with the love triangle and The Suaron/Gandalf/Galadrial shit...as well as Azog....

It was more like Peter Jackson's Hobbit than J.R.R. Tolkien's. It was garbage. I suppose if you didn't read the book and go into it that way it might not be too bad....but for purists it was terrible. That was kinda my point in relation to the Fourth world comment you made.

Sauron/Gandalf/Galadriel shit was necessary, as everybody wanted to see how the Necromancer got driven out of Dol Guldur.

It wasn't necessary. Also, they greatly gimped Gandalf and gave Galadrial a major power boost.

in the Lore, Gandalf >>> Galadrial. He's a Maiar; a lesser "angel". He's the same level of power that Sauron is. He just plays by the rules set by Eru. Gandalf was never captured by Sauron. Nor would he cower in fear and be a ***** Like Peter Jackson likes to keep making him.

Also, Galadrial couldn't drive Sauron out by herself...it was atrocious.

No one but Lord of the Rings nerds gave a shit about Dol Guldur or the Necromancer. People wanted to see Bilbo doing comfy light-hearted Hobbit things and a dragon ****ing shit up for two hours. Instead Bilbo was largely a side-character in his own story and Smaug had about 20 minutes of total screentime in a 8 hour series.

The Hobbit was never an "epic tale", but they tried to make it one because LotR was and it suffered as a result so badly that even Jackson admits he ****ed up.

Yep. I think for purists like me Dol Guldur was a travesty. As was much of the movie. The GA liked the series well enough I suppose. Should and could have been a much better movie.

We don't know the full details of who is making the next movie do we?

Man, this movie might not out-earn Deadpool by much at this rate.

Which would be good.

WB tried to take the lazy way out and thought Batman = insta-money. But that's false, this isn't the Nolan/Bale duo, those guys earned a lot of goodwill and were the recipients of morbidly beneficial publicity for the second movie.

A bad movie is a bad movie.

BVS actually set Batman up well. If El Miyambe is correct, Batman might come out before Aquadud.
