Avengers is considered by many people to be the greatest comic book movie ever. Certainly in the discussion.
I'll probably never watch BvS again. Maybe fast forward to the fight scene between the to titular characters.

Deadpool was a complete unknown and just outgrossed all the X-Men movies WITHOUT China no less. So has little to do with "Icons" and more to do with Marketing + Reception + Quality.
I mean heck remember when Superman Returns actually lost money!
