Batman Begins didn't even come close. And TDK didn't initially make a billion until it's re-release. There were many factors that made TDK to Crack a billion, it wasn't just Batman.

Batman Begins was fixing the franchise, and contributed to TDK making as much as it did.

And 1Billion World Wide was a heck of a lot more in TDK's day than it is today. Just look at TDK's domestic gross. Those "many factors" pushed TDK up well beyond today's 1Billion when you adjust it.

My point is that not every Batman movie does a billion, good or bad.

TDK had a lot of factors going into it, that made it cross a billion. True, in terms of today, it would have done Avengers money.

Of course Batman movies were not doing a Billion 10 years ago while trying to fix the franchise.

That's my point as well. That TDK in today's terms made approx Avenger numbers (with some extenuating factors). But then TDKR accounting for lack of 3d sold approx same number of tickets as IM3 or more. So hitting 1 Bill for Batman in 3d and in today's money should not be this difficult.

Given all that it's not encouraging that this film has devalued Batman so much.

This film hit well below expectations for DC and is alcnsidered a critically awful film. The stain is there and isn't going away. Told ya so. Laughing at cha, Golgo.

TDK is an outlier, though. Even TDKR sold less tickets than 89 Batman.

Agreed TDK was an outlier.

Batman 89 was like Ramai's Spider-Man 1. Excitement of seeing those Icons for the first time on the big screen.

that was because of that arsehole who shot up the theater

So like this is their 3rd controversial movie where they ****ed up their characters. I think they should scrap whatever plans they had and do a Justice League: Crisis to reboot their whole cinematic universe.

What was the third one? Green Lantern? Because if you meant TDKR, I have to disagree.

Why couldn't they use Brainiac first? The guy could totally handle the role of the JL villain. Then let's get to Darkseid.

Good question. If they used Brainiac first, at least it would be different.

Probably saving Braniac for a solo Superman film.

How many years from now....

😂

They should have used Metallo. The guy in the wheelchair should have been John Corben and Lex should have given him cybernetic upgrades to turn him into Metallo.

That would have been great! Would have made Batman more useful in the end fight as well, given they're fighting a Kryptonite powered villain.

No idea why they went with someone as big as Doomsday.. Well actually I do. For the

Death of Superman ending.
