Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Regardless of when, I do hope and look forward to seeing Batfleck under a good and much better script, but yeah. His movie not happening till the others have had theirs would be preferable.

...and herein lies the problem with casting 40-year old Ben Affleck as Batman.

Clark has only been Superman for like 2 years, Wonder Woman is eternally young, and the rest of the league members are young... then we have 50 year old Ben playing end-of-career Batman.

He is kind of up there to wait years before his solo film. Oh DC.

Isn't Affleck older than Downey Jr?

No, but he's already done three solo films, two avengers movies, and Civil War. Ben did one shitty film which the critics decimated it in their reviews.

no. RDJ is 50-something

Wasn't RDJ like 30 when Iron Man came out?

that was about ten years ago, so 40, give or take.

He's in his fifties now.

I'm gonna google that shit I thought he was like 30.

No, but he already has six films under his belt. That's very impressive.

Time flies...

Soon we'll be in our fifties, too. I bet Pr will be still loving Aquaman.

Not if DC has anything to say about it.

By the time Affleck is in his 50's he'll probably have close to that.

It appears RDJ was 43 when the first Iron Man came out and Affleck is 43 right now and he will have two Batman appearances under his belt.

Difference is the marvel u can live without ironman despite his popularity while the same cannot be said of DC without Batman. DC seems to be clueless when it comes to their planning and eager to alter a darker tone while keeping the shitty director who basically made a crappy film. Numbskulls.

But Marvels biggest hits feature RDJ.

Let's face it RDJ is the man.

I can't see Affleck having as big a presence in the DCCU as RDJ did for Marvel, tbh.

Neither can I.

RDJ brings the crowds no doubt.

what point are you making?

my point wasn't really about Affleck's age as an actor, moreso about his age as it relates to how it effects his character's age. Affleck being older means he can only play old-Batman, and old Batman is not as good as prime Batman.

RDJ being older doesn't really hurt Tony Stark/Iron Man.
