Potter never reached Star Wars levels especially domestic, but I think Fantastic Beasts will be good and early word it is along with Suicide Squad.

Wow, I was expecting the opposite. DFP and FC were good. Especially FC.
DOFP was really good and First Class was f****ing Brilliant. One of my top superhero movies of all time.
But this was just... boring. Like it felt like the whole movie was building up to something, but then it didn't.
I'd still put it as one of the best superhero trilogies though, because of how good the first 2 were, and because this one isn't Spider-Man 3/IM3 bad. But could have been in the elite trilogies if this one was better.

Kind of shocked, TBH. I'm still hopeful for a good movie in my eyes.

I should start a petition to fire hack Snyder

I'm leaning more towards those expectations, from some of the reviews it's definitely better than the Last Stand. But I think you might be right on the money with the TDKR comparison, especially with one main criticism being it's juggling too many characters and does too little with them (like TDKR)

Thank God! Finally! A DC person in charge of DC Movies and he wants to move away from the dour tone, too! And some said this wasn't needed. Next thing they need to do is get rid of Snyder.

Was kind of a common sense move to me tbh. Put the guy in charge who knows the characters knows the world, know the stories, has done such a great job as a creative mind for the comics, animation and tv shows. I've been shouting Geoff Johns for the Feige role for a long time now. Especially important because DC isn't making the movie.
Or carry on letting Snyder control the whole thing with WB exec's and no real input from DC, for you know.. the DC movies.
But if Batman V Superman had to fail for WB to make this happen, then I'd say BvS's failure was a blessing.
