I know right? I love it when characters that are normally not stupid show a glaring lack of common sense in movies. Good ol Civil War. So John Schnepp says he really likes the Ultimate Edition. John Schnepp proper hated on the Theatrical version of the film.

He says it's still no Masterpiece, and the film still has its problems, but overall looks like he's gone from a thumbs down to a thumbs up.

I normally have no respect whatsoever for John Schnepp views, but this does have me intrigued.

IMO, I doubt the ultimate edition is anything special, especially going by what a few friends on facebook have said...

besides WB prolly gave the ok to put this already on torrent sites so they can try to get some money

I would, but I haven't seen it yet. Watchmen was a superior film, extended version. I expect this to be the same.

Just said I'm intrigued. I hate John Scnepp so his opinion isn't worth much to me. But is strange he did a 180 like that. Perhaps WB paid him 😛

Just don't respect his opinion on films, especially Comic book films, when he to this day praises Iron Man 3 as being some kind of Great CBM, seemingly because it made over A Billion Dollars.

He also seems to back critics way too much.

Fair enough. I tend to agree with him more often than not. He seems to pretty much like all MCU movies. Including the shitty IM 3.

As a trilogy it indeed wasn't all that. For the 3rd movie I could only understand half of what Bane even said. If you recall me saying I don't like when characters suddenly begin to act stupid...Bruce Wayne orders some nuclear fusion reactor built and is SHOCKED to find out it could be turned into a bomb? Once again: he was shocked some nuclear fusion reactor could be weaponized. That is just as silly as Cap thinking they shouldn't really have any oversight.

To be truthful I am even iffy on "Batman Begins". Once again, stupid choices:

Liam Neeson-that makes no sense. the only thing that would make even less sense is if you allow me to die in a helicopter crash while at the same time justifying it because you technically didn't personally kill me.

But I do think while it wasn't perfect, "The Dark Knight" just utterly blows away any Marvel movie.

The Ultimate Edition is a better movie. A lot of things a fleshed out properly most notably the Africa stuff at the beginning.
