Also, how was it a bad example? It might have been a little more extreme than the situation that was asked of me, but the principle is the same.

Also, if Hulk is overpowering what you are throwing at him then you are doing it wrong. That doesn't count as "out thinking", that's playing against Hulks strength, which would be like attacking the most fortified side of a castle. It may make for a good fight to watch (which is good for fans reading it in a comic book), but it's a stupid battle tactic.

Why would Hal get into a fist fight with Hulk? He is the Ultimate ranged attacker and defender. He also has flight unlike our other green friend...

Overall, Hulk is more powerful but Hal got waaaay too much tools at his disposal. Hulk, as much as I like him (well, not current Hulk, but the Green Scar was the shit), don't win this fight.
The only way he can win is if Jordan goes completly retarded, forget everything he can do, and just throw basic shticks at Hulk, without moving much.

But with CIS off, Hulk win 1/10 or 2/10 if we want to be generous.

You do realize Hal isn't stuck in one place like a piñata don't you? If Hulk jumps, he can move. And actually, that would be Hulk doing Hal's job for him. Once Hulk becomes airborne, Hal can juggle Hulk until he decides what to do with him.

Hulk has covered states mid leap in no time. The speed his legs generates leaves your opinion on if Hal could dodge him.

Travel speed isn't a combat feat. And in the scan that was linked it took him 5 panels just to get into space, where he apparently was having issues after he got there...

Yet we have current Hulk jumping out of orbit in no time at all. Also, Hulk was trying to breath in space which is impossible for any character...that's why he tends to hold his breath with his super lung. Hal gets blitzed and punched to sleep.
