Mercenary Tao vs Master Roshi

Who wins?

Regular Tao loses. Cyber Tao stomps.

You sure? Goku was able to fight evenly with Roshi yet he was stomped by Tao and almost killed iirc. It's been awhile

I'm pretty sure.

Roshi(base)=139
Tao(human)=110

Roshi(powered up)=180
Cyber Tao=210

Can you think of an exception to this powerlevel stuff (meaning, did a person with a power level of that much of a gap, ever defeat a higher power level character (without nasty tricks, of course))?

If no exception exists then this thread ended with your post. 🙂

Where DB PL's are concerned, I don't *think* weaker characters stood much of a chance against stronger characters(aside from charging up 'special attacks', of course.)

Could be wrong, though. DB isn't my forte.

But look at the fights between them. Goku matched Roshi and was completely owned by Tao. He even needed more training before he could beat Tao

Those were completely different time periods, were they not?

Roshi spent most of his energy popping the moon. I don't think that's a fair comparison.

1. I don't either but knowing the rabiddness of DB fans, there probably is some sort of convoluted exception.
2. "DB isn't my forte" is probably the most incorrect, bullsh*t, thing you have ever posted on KMC. 😐 B*tch, you are one of the most knowledgble people on DB I have ever met.

I know you're onto something, here. There are canon powerlevel statements regarding Goku at each stage of his development. So we have a fair idea of where he stood at what time he fought each character.

My guess would be that Roshi went easy on him, Goku was tied, or something else I am forgetting. If you have the time, look at Goku's power levels at each stage of when he fought each character. See if you can find a disparity or some sort of explanation that bridges to gap in our understanding.

😂 I'm a HUGE fan of Z, but I never really followed DB because most of the stories were shite and didn't interest me that much.

My Z knowledge>>>My DB knowledge.

Dragonball is better than z...

Depends what you like, I suppose.

I sharply disagree, though.

Cyborg Tao wins no matter what. Human Tao, it depends on if its the Roshi that Gokou fought in the first tournament, he'd loose. Roshi afterwards says he was gonna train after that iirc, so his 139 power is his highest power, and not his 21st Tournament power level.

Yes. Goku matched Roshi long before Tao showed up. And as for what DDM suggested, Roshi stated a few times that he was not going easy on Goku since they were so close in power.

He popped the moon long after they were already dead even. Goku may have even had the advantage. I'll look for it now to post

Here's Goku matching his Kamehameha:

It wasn't his "All out" blast but to be fair Goku didn't overly exert himself either.

Roshi admitting the fight is hard for him:

Roshi being frustrated he can't hit Goku and Goku pretty much showing him up:

Post more soon..

Oh yeah, Mr. Smarty Pants?

How about you feast your eyes on Goku's balls?

Here's the thing: Roshi never used his full power against Goku-- he ONLY reached full power when he destroyed the moon. In fact, Roshi's entire point for fighting Goku was essentially to test him. He wanted Goku to realize that more powerful opponents than him exist-- basically pushing Goku to train harder:

Either way, I am willing to agree to the following:
Cyber Tao>full-power Roshi>human Tao>21st WMAT kid Goku~base/suppressed Roshi.
Based on what we know, that is logical, and moreover, fair.

Roshi can only hold that form during his ultimate attack(Full power Kamehameha). He hasn't shown it otherwise as far as i know and it pretty much wipes him out. Just because he didn't use his most powerful move doesn't mean he was holding back while fighting. If he missed he would have been screwed
