Oh, you are talking about that 1:30 min long video.
I understand people's frustration but we should probably wait until the game comes out and see how they do the dialogue.
In the end, if it immerses me more into the game than the dialogue version, I'm cool with that. I always thought it was a bit dumb to have not character talk. Having a voice in Mass Effect was more effective than Dragon Age Origins, where you are basically a mute.
True but we are assuming Fallout devs are copying the dialogue options from Mass Effect verbatim.
We are getting our info from trailers. Has their been a video regarding the dialogue system? I'm not sure.
But I do think they did the right thing changing the dialogue from the previous game. It might be for the better?
If this wasn't Bethesda, who clearly take the time and care to make a game, I would agree with the sentiment but I think people should give the system a chance.

Perhaps. In the older Fallouts, the textbox gives you a list of dialogue choices that tell you exactly what your character is going to say in full sentences. Fallout 4 has you selecting the option GET FOOD and your character says "What? Food? Sure but go away now and let me think" instead of "get me food." Like, he still tells the robot to get food but the extra words you didn't see coming and that's the issue some have with it.
Me, I don't hate it for I usually get what I want to select and that's why I don't mind Mass Effect's dialogue system but it wouldn't have hurt if Bethesda kept the textbox and let the protagonist still talk then everyone would be happy.

I know I will.
True. You might be right. It could worst than previous games. Maybe the Mass Effect dialogue tree will not work for the type of game Fallout is known for. Or maybe having it makes the story, quests and immersion much more successful.
Personally, I really enjoyed the dialogue system in Mass Effect. It made sense for the type of game it is. It's pure story driven RPG and having a voiced actor playing the parts made that game incredible to play through. Occassionally, the dialogue option you choose does something crazy but out of a million voiced lines, I will let them past.
I agree.
With the upcoming release of Halo 5 (which looks pretty good....), they have released the opening cinematic, the opening music and etc and etc.
I'm happy with a snippit of gameplay from a mission or something because your unlikely going to see the exact same thing (aside from scripted events) but the opening cinematic? Isn't that the point of playing the game?
I guess that's how you promote games now. They must be doing this because of people eating it all up.
