Thanos imperative. King Thor is formidable but Thanos resisted an entire universe opposed to him.

Any defense against a localized time stop?

When did Thor do that in battle ?

It would take a twinkle of an eye and the waving of a hand. He could do it as soon as they met.

Are you sure about that ? Lucky for you I like Reigning Thor so I will allow you the chance to refrain from responding. Just walk away.

Does Thanos have a defense for that?

This is for your own good. The one true king has his arms open, don't you push him away.

Are you sure Thor stopped time on his own ?

yes? He used Zarko's device to go back in time, and the designate helped him by guiding him, but the little time stop on Amora, Magni and Sif was the Odinforce:

I will need your help is the dead giveaway. Outside factors and aid was needed. He can't just stop time in combat nor has he anyway.

You're shaming King Thor. He needed help to stop the events from happening.

He did that on his own, the magic coursing through him is the giveaway.

Through his magic, their means, and aid this is possible. He never froze a combatant in combat. Thor would smite you for attempting such a dishonorable tactic while in combat.

You're too far gone. It hurts me more than you know.

Just remember I tried to spare you. My allegiance is always to Thanos.

Presuming a Rune-less King Thor is no better than Odin (and probably a bit under him), this would be a long fight. At worst, Thor has to work even harder than Odin did against Thanos. I see that as being the case. He wins, but in a hellacious fight.
If it weren't for these feats, I'd agree:

(That's Desak in the Destroyer armor he just killed with a single throw of Mjolnir.)

(That's adamantium AND vibranium he just slagged with a casual burst of eye-beams.)

Given that, I think Thor would stomp.

A blade powered by an entire universe in a ritual designed to kill the avatar of death failed to defeat Thanos.

Adamantium. 😂

Thor wins.

Yes, because a character only wins if they kill their opponent, right? Thanos is somehow immune to all of Thor's attacks, right?

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Thor still wins. 👆
